Some negatives, but you can't beat the price for a pre-packaged 220 watt hour lithium battery with sine wave inverter.
Can't beat the price for a pre-packaged 220 watt hour lithium battery with sine wave inverter. However, it has many technical quirks that they leave out of the description. Any reference to 'solar' input below is based off the combined use of the Suaoki 60W Portable Sunpower Folding Solar Panel.- Inverter and USB ports cannot be run off solar input. Only the DC outputs function. This was very disappointing for my desired use case.- The LED charge indicator lights do very odd things while on solar input. (Sometimes they marquee indicating charging, sometimes they all light up and stay solid even though the battery is not fully charged, sometimes the marquee seems to indicate the level of energy coming from solar input but I am not 100% sure that is a real feature. At least the unit seems to charge regardless of the behavior of the LED lights.(I am revising this section and raising my review 1 star)- (The DC outputs are always live regardless of power switch state and DC charge/discharge) There is a single power switch for the AC inverter and USB ports. This means you are always energizing the inverter when using the USB ports. I was unable to get an answer as to how much energy loss this represents but I would think it's in the neighborhood of 4-5watts. Unfortunately, this burns stored energy needlessly when not using the inverter output. (since I was unable to get a technical response from Suaoki there may be an auto on/off mechanism for the inverter that is not advertised. Since I didn't receive an answer I will have to assume it wastes energy)Note: I was never able to get a response to any technical questions sent to Suaoki via Amazon or their support email address listed on their website.

So far . . . Still Very Very Good! Updates thru 2017-10-05
Finally, a lithium portable power generator that is properly described and has standard input/output connections for the US market.Unlike the "yellow" boxes being sold under 4 or 5 names. This product should kill off those poor non standardized products, especially since Suaoki is not just better, it is 25% to 35% less expensive.Three days of testing have shown the unit I received to perform up to specifications. Only much additional time and use will shown the true durability and reliability of the product. It came with a simple manual. It's input/output ports are properly labeled. It works with a 30W and a 60W solar panels I already owned with just the addition of a readily available inexpensive plug adapter, that I already had.The unit is smaller and lighter than what you might expect. It does not claim to be a "UPS" which none of the other yellow boxes are either.Three emails to Suaoki with pre and post sales questions received same day responses in clear precise English.Like ALL lithium power devices I own and have owned, the battery status indicators are a little flakey. But that does not really affect operations. Rely on the product specs and your common sense.Remember, the USB outputs are only 5V DC (some competitors mis-label theirs as 12V, but they are only 5V). For 12V, connect the "cigarette lighter" plug adapter to one of the DC barrel outputs. You might want to buy some additional, readily available and inexpensive, male and female cigarette adapters. I already had plenty. They have a web site, but there is not much there yet.I have ordered their 60W solar kit. Their panel has a good list price. So I am placing some confidence in Suaoki. I can only hope it is justified. I also will probably order another generator later this week. There is another brand generator and solar panel I own and like better. But for the past six months and for the foreseeable future they are in very limited supply and unreliable delivery due to production issues, and they cost 2 to 3 times as much when you can get them.I paid the full listed price for my product at the time of ordering. I have no promise or expectation of receiving any future discounts for my review.Update 7-29-2016 have now tested recharging unit with Suaoki solar panel. Everything about generator still working fine. It has been in some kind of testing operation since it arrived 5 days ago. I now have two more units on order for delivery next week.Update 8-7-2016: I now have three of these units, all operating perfectly except for the flakey operation of the status lights as noted above.Update 9-29-2016: I have five of these now. They have been used twice this hurricane season. A 9 hour outage, and a 38 hour outage. Performance was fine. The units were recharged with solar panels during the longer outage. I also had 4 much more powerful, and expensive units. I prefer the Suaoki's. Their small size and light weight make them very easy to use and move around. They recharge very fast. Since I can buy 2.5 of these for the price of one of my more powerful models, the price per power unit of capacity is about equal. It is easier to have more Suaokis, running just 1 or 2 devices each than my larger models with extension cords running 3 to 5 devices each.Probably no more updates until the fall of 2017.Update: 2017-10-07A few power outages in the past year. I'm still happy with these units. I use more expensive higher quality units for electronics like TV, computers, routers, modems, etc. But the Suaoki are great for lighting and fans, especially if you have DC lights and fans that connect to DC output ports, not the AC inverter outlet. This gives 50% to 100% longer life than using AC lights and fans. The Suaoki's are also used for recharging other devices using the USB DC ports. No noticeable problems or declines with any of my units' performance. I even bought another one when I caught a lightning sale. Their solar panel rechargse fine on sunny days. I have connected in parallel up to 3 assorted 12-18V solar panels totaling 160W to re-charge them quicker on cloudy days. I doubt (but don't know) if the units could handle that input on a sunny day. 5 Stars!

Truly the best in class
This is an excellent product. Having followed battery boxes for many years, this one should be at the top of your list. This is the first truly integrated lightweight 220 Wh battery box. What makes it even better is that it has a built in pure sine wave inverter. (For us geeks, I included a picture of the sinewave through a voltage divider). I use this as a CPAP battery and I get about 13 hours of use, which is about 1.5 nights. (using a Resmed S8 with a pressure settiing of 12). But this will work excellent for ANY AC load under 200 Watts. Recapping:* 220Wh* Lightweight* Inverter* DC Inputs (car adapter order E-KYLIN DC 5.5x2.1mm Car Charger)* Optional folding solar panelThis battery box is the best in class in early 2017.

Great product and excellent customer service!
I purchased the 400 WATT version of this solar generator a short time ago and it has proven to be one of the best investments I have made in recent history. I got it so that we can go camping and power our CPAP machines. We are not allowed to bring a noisy generator so I needed something really quiet. This thing makes no noise at all. As a test I ran our CPAP machines off it here at home and it ran two CPAP machines for 7 and 1/2 hours and did not use even half the battery life. I had some questions about how to hook the 60 WATT solar panel to it and e-mailed customer service. They got back to me within 24 hours and were very helpful. To hook up the 60 WATT solar panel you need to use the included (with the solar panel) DC to DC cord and the included adapter that states it is compatible with Dell laptops. Works like a charm, no noise at all and great customer service!

Bought it run a 14-watt digital picture frame at a trade show. The frame ran 17 hours in a pre-show test run. Just what we needed.Late edit: One of the plastic end pieces (black) came off -- a construction/design flaw. But the company made good on its 1-year warranty and sent a replacement.UPDATE: Had to return it again, this time for a refund. The unit stopped charging altogether.

Wish I would have bought this earlier!
Bought this as a backup power supply for my cpap. Tested it out last night. It powered the cpap unit all night and it shows 4 bars on the power. That would leave power for other devices and probably another night of cpap ussge. Now I can sleep through power outages.
