Hair Towel Wrap: Holy Cow Towel, #1 Fast Drying Hair Towel

I have used this towel for over two years now and still love it! I have seen the video where the model's hair is practically dry after the towel comes off and while that is an exaggeration, it is still a super towel. I will not go back to using regular towels on my hair after using this towel. My hair is much silkier when using the towel and since I color my hair, it has really helped with the overall condition of my hair. It has held up well after a lot of use and washing. The little elastic is still intact as well, and after all the abuse it gets I would say that is impressive! I wrap my hair once, leave on for a few minutes, wring out the towel and wrap again for anywhere from five minutes to 15 or 20 minutes. Wrap it beginning with the large end at the back of your head. I like to bend over at the waist and bring my head up after I have begun twisting. You get the hang of it quick and will love it too!

I really liked this product at first, until I found Turbie Twist Towels instead that are micro-fiber and are really plush and soft and DRY.While it didn't really bother me to wet this, and ring it out before using it, I felt like it didn't "super absorb" the water out of my hair, and living in Ohio in the winter time, by the time I got out of the shower, this wet towel would be very chilled to be putting back on my head.In the summer when I'm looking for a refreshing feeling, this might be really beneficial, but right now it's still cold outside and I like getting out of the shower and putting something warm and soft on my head instead of a damp shammy cloth. :)The price of turbie towels was cheaper than this, came in different colors, and they come in 2 packs, so I can interchange them while one is drying. I would NOT recommend this product and would suggest going with the micro-fiber plush Turbie Towels instead. The Turbie Towel absorbed water better from my hair as well.

I bought his for my wife. She said it smells funny and has never used it. I told her I bought it on Amazon and she should try it because it's supposed to work really well - I know because arkmom4005 told me so, and arkmom4005 has never led me astray. She said that she would use it next time. The next day after her shower she still didn't use it. I confronted her and she said she forgot, but I think she was still taken aback by the smell. I said "Honey, look at the lady on the package. Look at the smile on her face! She's happy because she knows that her hair is going to be dry in 12 seconds." My wife promised to try it next time, but I already knew what was going to happen: this dance would never end. We ended up getting a divorce because of it. All I have now is an empty house and a shimmery, unopened hair towel wrap to remember her by.

I bought this for my pre-teen daughter who has really thick hair and hates to dry it. It cuts down on her drying time a lot, and her hair looks better when she dries it. She didn't wear it last night because she says it itches her hair a little, and she just wasn't in the mood to wear it. Her hair looked awful this morning. The itchy factor is the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars.

The first Holy Cow Towel I received broke (the elastic fell off) the first time I used it, but when I left a poor review I got a quick response from Customer Service and they sent me a replacement. The new towel works as expected, but the chamois isn't a thick or absorbent as I'd hoped. However, the shape and the closure do make it easier to use than a simple, rectangular chamois. I've updated my rating to reflect my view of the new towel.

I have already been using a microfiber towel to dry my hair, so I am not noticing any huge dry time difference. However, it fits nicely on my head and is a better solution than the typical towel wrap. It is a little annoying having to wet the towel and wring it up though, as it adds another step to the shower routine. My hair is long and thick, and barely fits in the hood, so for really long hair it will not fit very well. Love the pink color!

Had to return these as I did not like the feel of the material. Plus the wrap has to be damp before using. Not sure how it would work but I just didn't like the idea of it. Others may find it works well but I didn't use them and returned them. Not sure how to rate something in this situation so I gave it a 3-star neutral rating.

My main purposes for purchasing is I wanted something that would gently dry my hair (I have natural hair--locs) without picking up the lint that so often comes with other hair drying towels, even the microfiber ones.Chamois doesn't have the pile microfiber and other towels have. I just bought this, so I'm withholding a review until I actually use it a few times. Then give I'll give it a review.
