Mighty Max Battery ML18-12 - 12V 18AH CB19-12 SLA AGM Rechargeable Deep Cycle Replacement Battery

I replaced my 10 years old battery on my battery booster-air compressor. Working as new again.

I bought two of these to use in my kids' Power Wheels vehicles. The Power Wheels (a Jeep and a Mustang) were some yard sale "finds" - the vehicles were ok, but batteries were worn out. These Mighty Max batteries are a tight fit, but DO fit. No surprise, but to use them for this purpose, you need to do some minor, very basic wiring. If you are so inclined, I'd recommend you check YouTube for instructions. I chose these specific batteries for several reasons. The "nut-and-bolt" terminals allow for very secure connections to the battery. The provided dimensions told me they should fit. The sealed AGM format means they can be mounted safely in any direction. I liked that these are advertised for their long life and capacity to recover from a deep discharge. (I was concerned that my kids would run these past the point they "should" be stopped and recharged.) Also, these are 18 amp-hour batteries, almost double the 9.5 amp-hours for the Power Wheels factory batteries. That extra capacity means I probably won't see any deep discharges - in long play sessions, my kids barely made a dent in the charge (as indicated by how little time my Battery Tender charger took to recharge them.) For me, these were a great deal. Two batteries for about $70, plus a few dollars for wiring connectors and fuses; they have nearly double the capacity, and they now can be quickly connected to my Battery Tender. At the time, a factory Power Wheels battery was running about $60 (and I needed TWO). Thank you, Mighty Max! So far, so good! I expect to get a nice, long service life from these. VERY happy customer.

Took out the old battery and substituted this exact clone. Moderate skill level, saved my $200 booster and like new output. Won't fit all boosters, check battery specifications first. Order the right amp/Hr. Volt type

This review is for the MightMax 12v 18Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery. The battery came protected in the box with bubble wrap. It came with 2 screws, 4 washers, 2 nut securing washers, and 2 nuts to secure ring terminals for the positive and negative terminals. Terminals are marked via color (red for positive and black for negative). It came with a 12.9v reading out of the box. My intention is to use this battery is to make a solar generator. I connected this battery to a charge controller and then solar panels to the charge controller. After some moderate use of a DC plug and USB port on the charge controller to test a DC LED light and charge my cell phone, the battery dropped down to 12.6v. The 18 watt solar panels charged the battery back up to 12.9v in a matter of minutes. I haven't let it charge to complete maximum voltage yet but I am happy with this battery so far and look forward to putting the entire kit together in a plastic ammo can to make a portable solar generator.
