Disappointed
As stated by other reviewers, these are Mifare tags, meaning they don't fully support the NFC standard, and they won't work with all phones. I'm using a Nexus 5, and I find that these tags can be read but not written. Despite what the Q&A says, I've seen many reports that these don't work with Nexus 4 either.I'm not sure why they can get away with calling these NFC. If it doesn't support the standard and only works with NFC chips supplied by NXP, then it ain't NFC. I now understand why these tags were cheaper than the lower-capacity NTAG203 and Topaz 512 versions: those chipsets offer lower capacity but do conform to the standard, meaning they work with all NFC devices. Strangely, the tag doesn't give any indication of the chipset, so if you were to buy these and the NTAG203 version, make sure you don't mix them up!

But what model are they exactly?
Not bad. They seem to work with my LG G3 but are sometimes a little flaky, I think that is more of a problem with my phone then the tags. The build quality of the tags is also nice.No where on this page does it really say what these tags are. I scan them as:ISO 14443-3A NXP MIFARE Classic 1k (Classic) 1K ATQA 00 04 SAK 08However, with this page not really saying it, it could just be they send what ever they have excess of. With something that has so many caveats for compatibility to not state clearly exactly what they are is really lame.

These items are sold as NFC chips. This is ...
These items are sold as NFC chips. This is misleading bordering upon possible fraudulence in my opinion as they do NOT conform to established NFC protocols and as such is why some NFC phones are listed as NOT compatible. Unfortunately I had to purchase these worthless chips before I discovered this fact. NFC readers CAN pick up the ID and use that to trigger actions stored on your phone but if you're looking for ACTUAL NFC functionality look elsewhere as these are not the droids you are looking for.

The tags that work have proven reliable
A little over a year in I'm fairly satisfied with these NFC Tags. Out of the 11 I received there were 2 that just wouldn't respond to write attempts from the Trigger app, so that was a slight disappointment. But the adhesive backing has worked well across various applications - I mounted one on painted drywall near our dryer that continues to go strong, same with 2 that I've installed in vehicles. Those that were able to be written to continue to function without issue.I would buy them again.

Good chips, lack compatibility with Note 3, S4 and others.
I like these chips however I found out after purchasing them that they are not compatible with a lot of the devices because Samsung does not support the 1K chip. Oddly my Note 3 does (although its marked that it shouldnt) and my friends note 3 doesnt work with them. The S4 didnt work with it either. I love the chips, the colors and everything else about them (except the shameless url printed on them) but otherwise its a nice tag. I may buy the smaller tags since these didnt get it done but I liked the product itself.

they work...usually
Fairly easy to program, I was excited when I first started using these. I stuck one to my Bose portable speaker. Touch my phone to it and Bluetooth starts and Sirius XM runs. Usually. Every once in a while it won't. Same with other tags I've programmed. Lack of consistency is disappointing and I haven't programmed any in a while because of it.Great idea. 5 stars if they were more reliable.

Worked great! Samsung Galaxy S-III.
They worked great on my Samsung Galaxy S-III. I used the program Trigger in the android App Store, and it has plenty of options. Programming these is a snap. I have one in the car that turns on Bluetooth, the GPS and the Dash Cam. I have one at work, and one at home. The key fob tag is handy for when you're out and about and want to turn off the car modes.

Durable and easy to program
Just got these in the mail. So far they have been working very well. The material they are made of is very durable and stick to just about anything. They work well on my droid DNA and appear to work on my wife Moto X although I am not sure if they will unlock the device. They work well with the program "Trigger" on the Google Play Store. Should I ever need more, I'll know where I'm getting them. Nice Product!

Perhaps some phones will work better, but that kind of defeats the purpose of ...
Inconsistent reading and writing on my Nexus 5X, and have to very precisely place the phone on the tag.

These were fun for a while
These were fun for a while. I wish they had a way of working on metal. Basically replaced their functionality with preset location settings though.

Be careful! There are apparently different types of NFC tags and these are not compatible with my phone.
