Hurts my ear and is only one side configurable, but it does work.
I bought this as the cheapest option to replace my Xbox 360 headset and it does the trick The sound quality (on both sides of the conversation) is on par with (if not better than) the real name brand headset. The volume and mute switches worked perfectly for me (and they still are) and the headset plugs into the control with precision like it is an officially branded product. Unfortunately there are some definite drawbacks to this headset in addition to its benefits. The first drawback you'll notice immediately is that it only works with the speaker over your left ear. Unlike the name brand Xbox 360 headsets that can be worn over either ear, this one only works on the left ear. The microphone can only go up or down within a 180 degree range.Another issue with this headset is the comfort. After wearing this headset for 20+ minutes it's going to start hurting your ear, it feels like its digging in to the top of ear and you'll certainly feel like re-positioning the headset every so often. I did mark off a star for this reason but if you've had a real xbox 360 headset you are well aware that it begins to hurt after a while anyways, just not as quickly...The final issue with this headset is that the microphone is really tough to swivel. When I first got this headset the arm moved up and down with ease, just a week or two after purchasing this the microphone arm got very stiff and is hard to re-position.As I said, I bought this headset as a replacement to a broken headset and was looking for the absolute cheapest option available. If you can deal with the little quirks I outlined in this review then absolutely purchase it, the sound quality is par with a real xbox 360 headset and it has been durable since I've owned it.Hope it helps!

Affordable, and That's IT
Well I certainly didn't expect much for such a cheap headset. I haven't used it yet, I admit that, but I have tried it on, and it is as small as it looks. I can always snap and tape the top since it doesn't have two earpieces, but it's just a heads up, no pun intended. It looks like it would fit an infant, and even though it has an expander, it doesn't make the arch on top any wider. I imagine it would be even more uncomfortable for a male. For the price, it's still worth it, hence the four star rating. It shipped within a week though! I wasn't supposed to receive mine until late January, but got it today, Dec 17th. It was a nice surprise, and it's worth being able to talk to my brother online again.*Editing to add* The mic part ended up not working, and when I tried to file a complaint I got no reply. Even for that price, its still not worth it because its basically like paying for garbage. Back down to four stars and shame on the company for not attempting to fix the situation.

Not for heavy use
We got this for my teenage son after he got an Xbox for Christmas and we set up his Live account. It definitely fit the bill, worked for him in the beginning. But he is hard on things in general, and after a couple months of use, the headset didn't want to keep volume, and the microphone cut out. My husband eventually found something more heavy duty for him to use from a local store. I would still purchase this again, if it was going to be used by somebody like me, who uses it infrequently and immediately stores it when done. It's just not built for everyday abuse in my opinion.

Useless Piece of Plastic x2
DON'T TRUST THE OTHER REVIEWS THIS THING IS GARBAGE. So I was in need of a cheap headset. This one was the cheapest I could find that still had pretty decent reviews...more than enough to merit me spending 4 bucks on the thing. Anyway, I get it in the mail and don't open it for awhile because final exams were coming up, etc. Well I finally get around to trying it out, and I plug the sucker in...and...nothing. Not a sound. Doesn't transmit either way - no recording my voice, nothing coming out of the headset. I try it off an on on a few other controllers, but all for naught. So I decide to contact the company, figuring this one was just faulty. They happily send me a replacement, but sadly...complete non-working junk as well. Don't hit that Add to Cart button unless you want yet another useless piece of plastic lying around. Terrible terrible terrible.

Not a game but a headset
This headset was not bad but it wasn't that great here's why!PROS- Cheap- Works- More secure than original XBOX 360 Headsets- More comfortable than the original XBOX 360 Headsets.CONS- Caused static on my end (the mic caused static sometimes)- Have to disconnect it for the static to go awaySo if you don't mind bothering other people with static every once in awhile (around once or twice and hour) or don't mind disconnecting the headset to fix the problem its actually a really well made headset. All it needs is a mic that doesn't cause static and it would be perfect. But for me static on the mic is a big deal because it bothers my friends and I don't like to bother them.

So far so good
Straight out the package these work exactly as I was hoping for. Good voice quality on par with MS original set if not better. They are, as some people say, a bit on the smaller side so if you got a bigger head these might give you a bit of discomfort or may not fit too well. If anything goes wrong with them quickly Ill update this review but for the price these were an excellent buy and work fantastic. They arrived pretty quickly as well ordered Wednesday 23rd got Tuesday the 29th.

Very good for the money
I bought this months ago after shopping around a bit and I have to say I'm very satisfied. The audio isn't super high quality but definitely good enough to hear and respond effectively.I've had the headset for exactly 6 months and it's working just fine as it was when I bought it. Every once in a whilllllle I do unplug and plug it back in the controller cause the connection unsticks or something. If you take care of your things, and just make sure you pull it off from the base (not the cord) you should be fine.
