RemingtonMB4850 Virtually Indestructible Beard Trimmer Kit, Beard Kit, Beard Trimmer

I don't know what other reviewers were expecting- this item is actually quite a good trimmer! I usually need to use a strong *corded* trimmer for my head hair because it's very thick and bogs down most rechargeable cordless trimmers. It's important to understand that this unit utilizes a pair of 12 volt lithium batteries, as opposed to lower volt batts that most other rechargeable trimmers use. It easily mowed through my hair without bogging down or losing rpm's at all, very surprised and impressed. It also barely used any power during the 20 minute trim. It's made well and quite rugged except for the adjustable comb/guard. That piece is understandably very fragile, therefore I also purchased an inexpensive hard case that snugs the trimmer and all it's accessories in securely. Yes, the included power tool-ish case doesn't really work unless you also get some customizing foam, however I repurposed it for my indoor drone flying gear lol. The only other downside besides the fragile comb is the "ergonomic" bend in the design- it actually works against itself, makes it hard to know exactly where the blades are when trimming a clean neckline.Other than those negligible two caveats, I'm actually quite thrilled with this inexpensive item. Never really was that great of a trimmer even at the start, but now after only a year is completely unusable. Even when new it would lose a charge quickly, like in under a week.But now it won't even run for a couple seconds before the motor starts pulsing, leading to nothing working within a minute or two. It was taken care of and never abused but simply is not a good product.Recommend to stay away from this trimmer...

Very inexpensive beard trimmer with many features. Especially like the adjustable beard comb with a numbering system. Easy to remember the desired length each time. Old razor did not have this feature and it was a guess when trimming my beard. Highly recommend this full feature inexpensive razor.

This is high quality and full of options trimmer. It is amazing all you get for the price.

If by virtually indestructible you mean literally the razor stops working forever if it gets stuck on during shipping or in a drawer or in your bag during a flight ... then Remington, you nailed it! The first time I received my razor in the mail, it wouldn't hold a charge and I had to return it. I thought this was an anomaly until the replacement razor, upon running out of battery, would no longer hold a charge. I think it got stuck on in the drawer I keep it in, and ran to zero, and I think the first one was stuck on during shipping and ran to zero. Either way when this "virtually indestructible" razor runs its battery all the way down, it will no longer hold it. The razor does not work with a direct power source either, just sputters back and forth waiting to slowly gnaw your face off. I am just outside the window of return-ability and therefore am out whatever I overpaid for this thing. DOnt let them take your money too!

Electric trimmer us great for beard and short hair. My husband loves thst it us rechargeable and blades stay sharp. Only drawback is removable guard. It us difficult to take off and put on.

The case is great and the machine is perfect for grooming my 9lb dog.
