[2-PACK]-Mr.Shield For LG (Google) Nexus 5X 2015 Newest [Tempered Glass] Screen Protector with Lifetime Replacement

I bought a new Google Nexus 5X (manufactured by LG) three weeks ago and bought this screen proctor on the recommendation of Amazon when I was buying the case for it. It had high reviews, it was cheap, and it promised to protect my phone from falls and scratches. Install was easy, and though the screen protector is a fingerprint magnet, there were no bubbles, no lifting, no dirt trapped beneath the protector, and the image was crystal clear, no discolorations or anything. Cutouts for speaker and front camera were exact. On a side note, I also really liked how the protector felt beneath my fingers. I can't describe it, but it had a nice feel to it.Last weekend I went hiking and when I reached the summit and pulled my phone out for photos , I saw that the screen protector had been cracked. Not only that, my actual phone screen was cracked too. Somehow, while the phone was in my empty pocket, it had gotten dinged on something right where there is a little sliver of unprotected phone screen where the screen protector and case don't quite overlap and both had shattered. So why give the screen protector five stars when it failed to save my screen?Mr. Shield was more than willing to help me with this, with no questions asked. I contacted them a few days after the screen had cracked and within 24 hours, they had replied and refunded me my purchase. Google (Project Fi customer) was also able to help somewhat after I called them a few times, but LG so far hasn't.I'm chalking up the cracked protector and screen to a freak accident - something, somehow dinged it in the exact right spot through my jacket. I enjoyed the screen protector while I was using it and I think had I actually dropped the phone (hiking or otherwise) the screen would have been fine. Mr. Shield's refund policy is ace (they didn't ask any questions other than for my order number and didn’t require me to send back the broken product) and I'll definitely buy again once I get this sorted. Definitely recommended.

First off, I really like the fact that this screen protector came with two in the package. For me, I used one and my husband used one (same phone), but it would also be nice to have a backup just in case. The package itself was a stiff cardboard-like material that protected the contents very well during shipping.In terms of installation, it wasn't bad. It was easy to line up on my phone and then apply the stickers to make sure it didn't move while cleaning the screen to prep for installation. The video that the instructions send you to is very clear on how to install. The stickers serve as a hinge so that the protector stays in position, more or less, while cleaning so that you don't have to worry about the screen moving and having an uneven seal. I managed to install it with no air or lint bubbles, so success! The one thing I noticed about installation was that although I lined it up perfectly with all of the holes, when I flipped the screen back onto the phone it was a little too far to the left. The same thing happened with my husband's installation. Maybe it was just us, but it's a very minor annoyance that I barely notice and that anyone else wouldn't even see.I haven't dropped my phone to test the strength of this screen protector (and hopefully never will!), but it feels quite sturdy. It's thicker than some tempered glass screen protectors I've had in the past, which hopefully means it will work a little better. The feel of the screen is very similar to the feel of a naked screen, which has a lot to do with the fact that it's glass instead of a different surface.All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. Plus, the lifetime warranty on it doesn't hurt matters, either!

(For a little context, I have not encountered any plastic film screen protector that I'd rate above a 2. I'd give this protector a 4.5 if Amazon let me.)Quality:This is my first glass screen protector, and I've been using it for around two years now without any issue. The screen protector itself has developed no scratches or visible signs of wear (and thus, neither has the phone underneath). The glass is free of visible imperfections (see below). It does not diminish the brightness or color clarity of the screen. Over the entire span of my usage, the screen protector has exhibited no peeling away from the underlying phone screen. It has remained perfectly adhered. The one qualm I have with it is that it does not appear to have any oleophobic coating, so like normal glass it is a fingerprint/oil magnet. It doesn't hinder visibility or use of the phone, mind you; you really only notice in reflected light. It's easy enough to wipe it off, though, you just may find yourself doing it frequently if it bugs you.Ease of Use:Installation was straightforward and easy. The company includes all the necessary installation tools along with a very convenient paper guide and video clip walking you through the process. I've installed three of them with perfect results each time, no air bubbles. The protector fits like a glove inside my phone case; centering was not a problem as long as you follow their instructions.Customer Service:I mentioned I'd installed three protectors. I had to remove the first when I needed to RMA my phone after a hardware issue. The second protector was on the new phone, and I noticed a tiny little bump in the corner of the protector. It wouldn't have hindered usage, purely cosmetic, but I contacted Mr. Shield and they immediately sent a new one! The third protector, from this new package, was as flawless as the first. I was very impressed with Mr. Shield's customer service. It was no hassle whatsoever.
