Q: Is the volume limiter built into the earbuds? I connected mine to an iphone 7 plus and registered 104 db directly on meter.

Hi there, great question. Yes, the volume limiter is built into the earbuds. The reason why your meter is showing a discrepancy is likely because it's measuring db, rather than dbA. Testing standards that the product conforms to are measured with dbA, the weighted average decibel output derived from testing across all sound frequencies that humans can hear. So measuring the sound level output unfortunately is not quite as simple as holding the earphone up to a sound meter. The official measurement occurs in a lab using professional sound testing equipment with a pink noise output. But the bottom line is that you can rest assured that there isn't anything wrong with your earbuds, and they still won't be damaging your hearing :)

Q: Is there any working being done to add a mic feature to the software. Meaning that the headphones will actively cancle out noise when not on a call.

Will they are off they're like ear plugs. I work around loud equipment and they work better than my regular earplugs. With the added benefit of listening to music and answering the phone. Very happy with mine
