Q: Is it machine washable or will it be less effective after machine washing? I have a dog that slobbers and his leash can get slimy.

Any leash chewed on by puppy teeth won’t hold up. You shouldn’t be letting a puppy chew on it. When mine tries I tell her no.

Q: The cover protector near the handle came off and now I am afraid that the end of the ropes will fray. Is it possible to get a new cover protector?

Mine came off too, around 4 months off use. I’m trying to decide if I should get this same one or try another brand. Other than the plastic cover on the front and the handle cushion this leash feels strong, but without the cushion handle my wife feels difficult to hold out lab.
