LEGO HEROICA Castle Fortaan 3860

My son 14 year old recently got this game for his birthday. He, his brothers and friends have really enjoyed playing it! They have liked playing it with the layouts that came with the game, but it's even more fun for them to come up with their own layouts and new twists to the game. Kids are coming to our house often, just to play the game again! My son is trying to think of ways to save up enough money to buy the extension games!

Different characters have different special abilities that they use to get them through an extremely customizable dungeon. You're really not getting that many legos for $20-$25 but when compared to other board games it's a good enough deal to make it worthwhile. Unfortunately you'll have to buy at least 3 of the sets ($15-$25/each) in order to get all 6 of the characters. This is offset by your ability to combine all of the rooms into a single, massive dungeon while simultaneously giving you a game that up to 7 people can play (6 heroes, one bad guy).There's a lot of room for house rules and I'd highly recommend creating some. In the rulebook a player wins by reaching the designated square, often guarded by a big bad monster, which usually means the guy who kills the monster will end up losing to one of the other players waiting just behind him on their next turn since movement ends as soon as you encounter an enemy. You're also supposed to store the bodies of the deceased monsters in your backpack even though they don't do anything but stink up the place. I recommend a point system as follows: 1 point per gold piece, 1 point per strength of monster in your pack, 2 points per weapon and 2 points per unused potion. You might also want to add more gold pieces to the map or it's unlikely you'll gather enough to buy any of the weapons that are available through the store.As a fan of Minotaurus this game was definitely worthwhile. I'm currently looking into a method of combining the two maps, as well as creating rules for team play (that part about some other player winning the game after you've done the dirty job of slaying the boss also applies to loot; most keys or coins are kept behind a monster, and since you can't move AFTER you've killed it it generally means someone slips in from behind and steals your reward).If you like D&D or the other Lego games you'll enjoy this. It's simple but leaves a lot of room for custom rules, and the replay capabilities are nearly endless, especially combined with the other stand-alone expansions.

Fun game for everyone to play. Game can go on for a long time depending on how many players you have. The first part is building the game which is fun. I like to help my 6 year old son putting it together because the pieces are small. After that the game is simple enough for him to understand but interesting for everyone to play and enjoy.

My 10 year old son LOVES Lego's and of course he wants all the Lego board games, too. This game is so much fun to put together and play. Basically this is what it looks like - a dungeon crawler game using Lego's. Part of the fun is in putting the game together - you literally build this board game, and you can even put it together in different ways each time so that you have a random replay feel to it. The game itself requires you to think about what you're going to do and actually plan your moves. That is why I rated it high for educational value. It's as durable as all Lego's in that it stays together quite well until you're ready to take it apart to put it away until next time. I don't know that I'd recommend it for younger children, the game play is a bit difficult to grasp. For 10+ it's just great!

It takes some time to get this game set up. It reminds one of a "kiddie" version of D&D. The instructions are complicated, so you need to keep them close by when playing. However, my six year old likes the game once the set up is complete. He prefers to leave someone else to the task of buidling the board and return in time to play.

I gave this game to 3 of my grandchildren (ages 6, 8 & 10) for Christmas. They had a great time building the game and then we played it several times with all 3 of them enjoying it. The game plays quickly and I like the ability to reconfigure it for different scenarios. I highly recommend it.

My children have all loved and grown up with legos but as the years wear on they have built less and less. Typically, a set is purchased, built, destroyed, and then the pieces are added to their collection to build as their imaginations choose never to recreate its intended design again.With the introduction of lego games, comes a new product that has more versatility than previous. A child is not only able to construct the toy but then play the game again and again. It is a genius idea! What is even better is that you can combine the lego game sets to create your own game. For Heroica series, there are 4 sets. Each one is its own game or can be combined to create one huge set. BUT you are not limited to this one series. The options are only limited by your imagination. Any of the lego games can be added on to make a new game. Use old pieces from sets that aren't games and continue adding.Educationally, one is learning about math, sportsman ship, and the legends surrounding the materials if one seeks those out. In addition, you can have the child write out the rules for the game he/she creates.

I was disappointed that my boys (4 and 6) mixed up the contents of this game with their legos before we could ever play. However, they really enjoy the pieces and play with them often so I guess that works for me.Wish we would have had a chance to play. Perhaps I'll be motivated enough to one day sort through their legos and put the game back together.

El precio que obtuve en Amazon fue mucho más barato que el de las tiendas. Eso si, se trata de una edición internacional, y las instrucciones vienen en inglés, francés y alemán, pero no en español. Son 4 páginas de instrucciones que puedes descargar de la web de Lego y aprovechar el importante descuento.El juego en si consiste en montar primero un laberinto de mazmorras con las piezas de Lego (hya varios mapas para distintas aventuras) y luego desarrollar un especie de juego de rol básico con los personajes sobre dicho tablero. Los personajes pueden evolucionar de una aventura a otra, consiguiendo objetos y trofeos.

Brought this for my 5 year old, along with all the other sets in the series, for his birthday. He loved them! They were easy to construct, simple rules (that my son could follow without support) and fun to play. Big bonus is they are relatively short to play so he didn't get bored. There was plenty of room for expansion, especially when you connect them to the other sets. They can add to the rules or remove parts, loads of scope for creativity! I'm going to borrow these for work to teach instruction writing.

Jeu très sympa pour mon fils de presque 7 ans. Les règles sont simples mais on peut les adapter. Cela rappelle un peu le Hero Quest de mon enfance. Le montage du plateau de jeu fait parti du plaisir ludique.

Ich denke man sollte sich vorher schlau machen und dann eine Bewertung schreiben. Das Konzept ist einfach und genial wie immer beim Lego. Es macht wirklich lust auf mehr und zum Glück gibt es 4 Sets und mehr in Planung.Es ist für kleinere Kindern nicht so einfach als für ab 6 Jahren mit Begleitung, aber es ist nach eine Einleitungsspiel relativ einfach zum Spielen. Charackterkarten fehlt aber sind kaufbar, ich persönlich finde die Regelungen etwas unübersichtlich aber dennoch es macht Spaß auch alleine und ist perfekt zum selber weiter bauen...Perfektes Geschenk für jeden Anlass.Preis Leistung ist optimal! Ich hoffe viel mehr wird kommen, rette Heroica!!!
