T17 is designed for use in cleaning the corrosive fouling & plastic deposits from muzzleloaders when using black powder, pelletized powder, and black powder substitutes like Triple Seven. This modern formula removes plastic, copper and lead deposits then leaves a micro-thin layer of protection behind to help prevent rust and corrosion.
