Great flashlight
I bought a couple of these, one for myself and one for my father as a present. Its a great light. What I particularly like is the end cap. Compared to other Four Sevens lights that typically have the tactical/programable tailcap, this is a 'click to your setting' style end cap. No fuss, no muss and very efficient. I very much prefer this style and knowing this model had this was a big driver pushing me to it over the smaller MMU. All their models should go this route imho (although I do like the twist caps which are on the Mini for instance, the tactical ones on most other models are not my thing).Brightness levels are great. Low is good, medium is plenty and high is beautiful. I was actually expecting high to be too bright but it isn't at all. Its more than you need short of wanting to see something 100+ yards away but its not overpowering like I thought it might be at closer distances. I was almost expecting high to be unusable at close distances but its not, its entirely useable. It also have strobe and sos of course - I am a little surprised they didn't include beacon.Build quality is solid - its like a brick. Its definitely not a small light though. I think in the brightness/size tradeoff the MMU compared to the HD version would win as its much smaller and lighter while having 3/4ths the lumens output (800 lumens for MMU vs the HD's 1200). Catch is, that one doesn't have the nice tailcap and uses a proprietary rechargeable battery which then requires buying that charger and you are then almost at the HD's price point. Its all a tradeoff of course.I would definitely recommend the light. If I could have one wish for it though it would be that they offered it with a 'neutral white' emitter; it would cost 5% of the lumens (give or take) but would then be a more 'natural' color of output. I have talked to Four Sevens on this and the catch is that neutrals are only 2% or so of their sales as most people just really want high output emitters and don't even think about the color of that output. All the other smaller lights I have bought from Four Sevens I have bought with neutrals and would have really liked it to have been an option here (as I would have got a neutral for sure over a cool white).
