If you believe backpacks are superior but hate dorky ones, get serious with the Division. Its clean exterior appearance belies its very nerdy interior. Its laptop sleeve is our most lux, its organization on point, and access beyond easy (i.e. rear access to laptop). It's even designed to sit upright while you dig inside. Cloaked in a beautiful base fabric, its sternum straps tuck-away to keep excess strap flap at bay and an air mesh back panel keeps your dress shirt dry. Pair that with covertly suspended backpack straps that sit naturally on your shoulders with a grab handle worth grabbing, and you'll want to give it a raise.

This bag is perfect for what I wanted
This bag is perfect for what I wanted. Good size - but not too big to lug around. Fits 15" macbook pro no problem - and that's in a separate section to where your weekend packing goes. Great for short breaks - or as a work bag.

Best bag I’ve owned
Did weeks of research and tried out loads of bags to decide on this one. Very comfortable, looks great, good storage and 2 years later it still looks as good as new

Great Bag Overall
Brilliant bag in pretty much every sense, build quality, attention to detail and overall design / size for office use. My only slight disappointment was the colour. The images of this bag in general indicate it's king of grey. However, it's actually different shades of grey, black and a muted navy.

A Very Nice Bag
After looking at several bags, I eventually settled on the Timbuk2 Division. The first thing you need to know is that this is a relatively small bag, so if you are looking for a three-day bugout bag or something like that, you may wish to look elsewhere. (Timbuk2 has models that are better suited for that.) However, as a day bag, it is an exceptional bag. The low profile of the bag makes navigating city and urban spaces easy, which is refreshing for anyone who's tried to make it onto a busy train or bus with a larger bag. Most importantly, though, is that the bag has so many organisational options that it never feels like a small bag. I've used this bag daily since buying it, and I currently have it loaded with the following items: In the front pocket, I have two notebooks (a Rhodia A5 webnotebook and a Quo Vadis 6x9) and a Leatherman; in the larger body section, I have a novel, a chord and adaptor bag, an iPod Classic, a portable hard drive, a day planner, my Beats Solos, a fountain pen case, and a small first aid kit; and, in the laptop section I have an old(er) Macbook. It all fits comfortably and safely, and I've never had to worry about any of my things being damaged. My one complaint is the lack of a dedicated sunglasses pocket, but I knew that was absent when I bought the bag (so I am not going to penalise the bag for something I new about beforehand.) Fortunately, once you have the main compartment full, you can tighten things up with the side-mounted compression straps, and then place your sunglasses case on top of the rest of your stuff, and this seems to work well. All in all, this is a very good day bag, that it is capable of getting you from your home to the office, library, campus, or café without any problems. When the bag was new, it was a little stiff and boxy, but it breaks in very nicely after one or two days and becomes very comfortable. The venting on this bag works reasonably well, but if you are wearing it for more than an hour at a time, you can expect a little bit of back sweat (but if you wear a backpack, that's almost impossible to avoid.) The straps are padded and comfortable, and the adjustable sternum strap is a nice touch. I am very happy with this bag.

Comfy
Nice bag and comfortable. The zipper on the front pocket makes it hard to fit things inside.
