Great hardware, but get USB hub with switches, and study pdf manual.
This is a very nice keypad with 4 profiles. It takes very little effort to press the keys. I like the pre-printed and blank labels it comes with, and the clear key covers. The paper instructions are very sparse, only 2 short pages, but there is a link in it to the software and a 36-page pdf. It’s in a .rar file so you’ll need to decompress that. In order to change anything, you have to start the software, power down the keypad, hold the upper left button down, then back power up, then after two seconds, the software shows the default profile, and then you can let go of the button. This was very tedious to program and test different configurations and macros, so I bought a USB hub with toggle switches, which made things MUCH easier. The pdf manual tries to be complete and informative, but it takes a while to get used to their jargon and non-intuitive way of using the software. (For example, “Press” means key down, while “KeyDown” means something that could include a mouse button down, but the software doesn’t have any mouse clicks available for KeyDown.) The software font is bothersome, reminiscent of Windows 3.1. The software is a bit clunky, but at least it works after you figure it out (example, why let the user be able to select anything in the command list window when editing macros, when you can’t change anything via that list at all ? I kept wanting to change the command directly in the command list). I have a Logitech G13 programmable gamepad and that software is a breeze to use.Pros : great hardware, everything worksCons : software usability could be improved; no “live update”.

Works well, easily programmed
I use lots of high end imaging and voice-transcription software on specialized workstations in my field, which have many, many shortcut hotkeys combinations. For efficiency, I've been using a gaming mouse with ~20 some buttons which I've mapped many of these macros to. However, I still didn't feel totally optimized...Enter this keyboard. I now use it in combination with my gaming mouse and have nearly every function I use mapped to either the mouse or this device. Very handy, and very efficient. Some notes:-there are 23 keys, with 4 "layers" for each key. Each can be assigned a macro, keyboard key, or certain functions (volume up-down, etc)-however, you can only have 24 TOTAL recorded macros (that wasn't clear on the description)-the macros can be quite complicated, I have everything from simple "ctrl-del" to long string inputs stored as macros.-the program used to program the device takes a minute or two of poking around to figure out how it works, but after that it's fairly straight forward and fairly intuitive. The included instruction pamphlet is adequate.-everything is saved to the device itself so you can unplug and use it on many different computers without having to reprogram it each time (this was key for me).-only minor downsides I've encountered: 1) the base is kinda warped, so it it rocks a bit on a desk. Annoying but does not impact functionality. 2) the USB cable seems kinda low quality, and while it works for now I'm just waiting for the day I accidentally rip the end of the cable off by accident. Also not a game changer since you can order a generic USB cable any where if/when that occurs.Wish I had developed my current workflow setup earlier! Feels much more optimized now!

At this price, this is my best keyboard purchase EVER
Loving it!I have always games on the keypad of my gaming keyboards (and bought ones with macro keys on the right side) so this helps a lot with desk space.Great programmability and configuration! It's very portable to boot, and works great with android. I take this and a wireless corsair mouse to my buddy's for LAN and play off my phone connected to my home PC via moonlight, everything works flawlessly since the setup is all saved to onboard memory. Fits nicely on a small lap desk with the mouse, full sized keyboards tend to be an issue.I have a few nitpicks listed below, but they don't stop me from absolutely loving my purchase.-It isn't obvious which keyset you are in, and switching to 3 from 2 gives a single flash like switching to 1 from 2. I though the constant light at the top was supposed to actually change position to reflect the current keyset, not just stay stationary.-The keys seem a little mushy for a mechanical, coming from a blue switch board it's very different tactile sensation. though the quieter noise is nice.-The layout (while awesomely customizable) takes some getting used to because the keys seem to be a touch closer together than a normal keypad, so my fingers needed a little retraining I still occasionally hit the wrong key because the distance isn't the same as my muscle memory. It's nice that you can put any key anywhere because you can minimize mispressed keys by making menu commands and the like more difficult to push by rotating the key to make a more noticable ridge and the like. This mixing and matching the key sizes and orientations as you see fit can also help get your finger placement on point.A wireless version of this would be amazing.
