Works pretty well for iPod Classic 6th generation, not Nano 5th.
This dock works for synchronizing with iTunes or playing music from my 6th generation iPod Classic 120 GB. I have to take the iPod out of its clear plastic case in order to fit it into the dock. The Apple brand insets don't fit this dock. The remote works well if it's pointed directly at the dock in a clear line of sight and fairly close range.Of course, this dock has to be plugged into a computer or AC power supply through its USB cable. It's not battery powered. This dock does NOT work for my 5th generation iPod Nano 8 GB. It includes an inset that fits, but the electronics are apparently incompatible--the iPod plays out of its internal speaker rather than through the docking station. For the time being, the Apple Universal Dock - Digital player docking station seems to be the way to go for this new iPod.I don't know what they mean when they say you can "use the included A/V cable to enjoy video on your television." I don't see any video port or cable. You can see the stereo audio cable that was included with this dock in the customer images I posted. No video on the cable they sent me. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Never received product
I was sent an email saying they were out or stock n I was gonna be refunded and they were lieing cause it's still online for 6 times the price. I told them n someone was supposed to call me back n noone did. It was a mistake on there part n now I can't get ahold of them. Never bought from this company n probably won't ever again.

Limited Functionality
This item is fairly worthless. The dock does charge your iPod, but only when it is plugged into a USB or Firewire port. The remote control also only works when plugged into a USB or Firewire. If you plan to use this dock remotely - for example in your living room or on a patio through a stereo, TV, or auxillary speakers, then the remote does not function and the iPod does not charge. You could possibly use a USB wall charger to plug in the dock, then hook up to speakers, I did not try this.An additional major problem is that the volume output is limited. When I connected the dock to my home Sony amplifier (without USB power), I could not get ample volume. The video did play through to my TV, but pathetic sound. Sound could barely be heard, with both iPod and Sony on high volume. Perhaps it must be used with USB power to power an amp of some sort in the dock?In summary, this dock really only works when powered through the USB by your computer, so you might as well play your video and music straight from iTunes without your iPod at all.If I had to find one positive note, the remote does work fairly well from 15 feet away, but with a slight lag time.
