Cotz Face Lighter Skin Tone Spf 40, 1.5 Ounce

I have literally tried every “mattifying” spf on the market and they all leave me immediately shiny. Except this. This is my new summertime holy grail spf for my oily skin in hot and humid weather. (In winter, I need a little more moisture so I use neutrogena hydro boost water gel with spf 25). Yes, this cotz leaves a subtle white cast, but I put it on under my foundation so that’s irrelevant. For someone with darker skin it probably would be more noticeable. I will never not have this again. LOVE

This stuff is absolutely amazing. It's hard to explain, but it goes on like a dry lotion. I use toner first, then put this on, and it instantly mattifies my skin. Then I put on liquid foundation and no longer need to wear powder over it because my face is already matte. I LOVE IT. I even wear it when I go out at night because it works so well. I am very fair but have not had a problem with it blending into my skin. I use a large pea sized amount and pat it all over my face and neck first, and then go from there because it is hard to spread otherwise. Also, it protects very well, I do not get burned when wearing it hiking and stuff. I will be so upset if this ever gets discontinued. I go through about one tube every 5-6 weeks. I put it on my kids as well. There are no tears because it's not chemical, just mineral... I can literally rub it in my eyes and it does not bother them (I'm not saying to do that, just that it doesn't bother my extremely sensitive eyes). I've used this product for almost 10 years now and think it is top notch.

I prefer this non tinted version to the tinted version. I have used both, but I want to see where the cream goes and the tinted version blends in so well I don't even know if I applied evenly. This white version is perfect. It also has an extra plus in its UVA rating (PA++++ vs PA+++), even though the percentage of active ingredients are the same. I probably don't use the required 1/4 teaspoon when applying it to my face, so it goes on perfectly sheer without obvious white cast. I am Asian with relatively pale skin. So far after a week of daily application my skin is very calm, without any signs of breaking out. I have tried so many sunscreens and all of them broke me out after a few applications. This sunscreen is my holy grail and the only downside is the high price for such a tiny tube.

A little more than I typically spend on a sunscreen but I was looking for something that I could wear under my makeup or alone. This works for me and actually has more coverage than I expected while also lightweight. I was pleasantly surprised that the matte really does help to control shine throughout the day for me.

Great product. Its perfect, goes on your face like a primer, working well under foundation make up but also gives you protection from the sun. Not sticky at all and doesn't cause make up to feel too thick. I love this product and have used it for many years.
