Orange Mod Works Unleashed Solid Final Stage Kit for Nerf Strongarm

I received an email soon after the order was placed linking me to the OMW YouTube channel. There is a very good instructional video to walk you through the install. You can toss the instructions in the garbage. The install was very difficult. Having another hand would be helpful when putting the shell back together. You have to hold the trigger catch and the accessory thingy (so the springs don't pop) while putting the two halves of the gun together. Took some fiddling but not impossible. You could probably just take the accessory thing out if you do not plan on adding any attachments.Would be five stars if not for trigger sticking. I can't blame the parts as the cause of the sticking is due to the OE parts. It's rubbing on the piece that prevents the trigger from being squeezed when you have the cylinder out for reloading. Again I'm guessing this piece could be removed as well with no negative effects to performance. It would be a safety concern but the gun is for office wars so...

Funny thing is that my son's and wife's firestrike's shoot a lot better than my stock strongarm, further, more accurate and harder.. so I looked around for another gun and found this kit in the process...I have to say this transforms your strongarm in to a new toy, shot quality is improved like 50%, so far after 2 days playing, everything seems good, I also got little valentines darts when I bought this kit and oh man, playing with nerf guns is a whole lot more fun now.When you put your gun appart take a picture of the components all in place before you remove anything, after you do it once it will be very simple, this kit also comes with really good grease, lubricates and seals the plunger very nicely.Great purchase, I will update if anything changes.

Took almost three weeks to arrive. Was really excited when I ordered it but once I saw the content, excitement was much less desired. Packing is great and professional. Installation instruction is less than desired (if you never modded Strongarms, watch the vidoe on Youtube) but took about 5 minutes to to put in in (I have 5 Strongarm, all modded but this was first one to have Final Stage Kit).It definitely gives you extra overdrive to StormArms but I'm not sure $32 is worth it, very expensive for mod kit. I do like the product but probably would not order again, cost benefit just isn't worth it (when you can get Strongarm for $10 or less), trigger is pretty nice however.Save the money, and get springs from ACE Hardware.

When my cats would climb on the kitchen counter, I would shoot them with my Nerf gun. They soon figured out that the nerf gun couldn’t swat a fly if you shot it at point blank range, so they started getting on the counter again. After this mod, they now stay off the counter and now they deliver small dead animals to my door for what I’m guessing is a sacrifice to the Nerf gods.Also, Orange mod’s customer service is excellent. After rapid firing the gun to make sure the cats knew who was the boss and what counters to stay off of (hint: all of them) the plunger broke. Orange mod stated they had some issues with them and would send me a new one at no charge! I would not hesitate to purchase more mods from them, but I think my cat’s get the message for now.

Considering that your paying $40 for a kit to install on a $12 blaster, there isn't a increase on the muzzle velocity quit like I expected. The inyala wasn't to difficult, but the plunger that came with the kit broke after only two reloads. Orange Mof Works was quick to send out a replacement part, but I reinstalled the factory part and am still using it with no problems.

The mod is awesome when it works, but it causes "misfires" often enough to make using it, not fun. Brand new darts seem to make the issue better, but after they've been fired once or twice they start misfiring again.

The upgrade of my Nerf Strongarm was simple and easy. The finished gun is harder to cock with the 7kg+ spring added but the noticeable difference in the power raises eyebrows from your targeted opponents as they hear the dart whistle towards them. I would remind anyone getting this kit to carefully remove the screws and use a bit of silicone grease when you put them back. This kept me from slipping the tools while tightening the screws back on reassembly as they moved much easier. The directions are simple but pay close attention to the orientation of all the parts as you disassemble to install the upgrades. I am sure this Strongarm gun will be a "hit" in the next round of games.

The springs and trigger work as advertised. However, the plastic used in the plunger was not strong enough. It broke after only a couple of shots. Swapped in the original plunger and will run it like that. I am happy with the velocity, but definitely would have preferred to be able to use the new plunger for this mod.
