The storage container will store 12X12 paper. I use 1 holder for a single pack of paper and do not use sheet protectors. I love this storage! Easily accessed and always organized. Because of the material, paper can be visualized. Great product

Q: How much 12 x 12 paper does one of these hold?

The largest container has an opening of a little over 2.5" and holds 150-200 sheets of paper depending on the thickness of your paper and the number of dividers used. This is the variety pack which contained a few different items, some of which I didn't use. If you're just looking for the larger sized container I'd recommend going with the single Paper Holder 12.5"X13"X2.625". I have several and really like them. They're sturdy and do a great job of keeping the paper neat and undamaged.
