Q: Can this grinder be used to grind cloves?

No, it can not: on Kuhn Rikon's webpage for this product they specifically say not to grind cloves or anise because the oils will destroy the plastic.

Q: where are they manufactured?

Mine says "China" on the bottom, molded into the plastic.

Q: Will this work for spices such as nutmeg, cumin, coriander, etc?

This is a grinder so anything that could be ground should work. It's tough enough for salt and pepper! So prob would work on other spices. I don't think leafy spices would be good tho cuz it might clog!

Q: Could this grinder work with Nutmeg?

No it is good for peppercorns but anything bigger would not get into the grinder. I use it fo salt, peppercorns,prickly ash. They are very good.
