Global world quality product with local country size issue
This is the second pair of boots i buy from Hi-Tec. i did so based on the good experience of the first pair i bought, the Altitude IV (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RUF41S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).These were made on Indonesia and fitted like a glove.This boots are made in China and are somewhat short. My fat thumb gets in contact with the front of the shoe. even thou that i bought the same size 11M.Otherwise i like the appearance of the shoe, the materials and the quality so far. i expect them to be as good as their predecessors.

Heavy but otherwise good
I find hi tech to be a hit or miss brand. Some of their boots have been great, others not so much. This pair is one of the better pairs. I bought them for my son, who uses them about twice a month. They fit well and have held up nicely for about a year. These are a "mid" boot, and my one gripe is that they are Bit on the heavy side for that class of boot.

Good boot
Got these for my 14 yr old son - doing weekend backpacking in the Blue Ridge. He likes them. Comfortable - no hot spots, Water proof is a must. Price point was perfect - probably will outgrow in a year or two. I have used Hi-Tec for 20 yrs and never been disappointed. Mine are the leather Altitude V - on my 3rd pair.

I am a wildland firefighter on a Hotshot crew and I hike miles and miles everyday at work, i pay over $400 per pair of boots because a comfortable boot is a necessity. In the off season Hi-tec boots are what I wear for every hike. There light, comfortable and amazing value. I've owned Hi-tec hiking boots for many years and will continue to wear them in the future.

I like the boots I have been wearing Hi-Tec boots for years and have been looking for black ones to wear for my job and this fit the bill although the sizing is a little off need to be 1/2 size larger than the other boots that I have bought in the past

They Run small
The Shoe is made well but Hi Tec sizing is all over the board the hi tec scramble mid wp is Very large..
