Mont Blanc Ballpoint Pen Refills, Broad Point, Black Ink (MNB107862)

Montblanc's refills write smoothly and reliably. The title for this product says Mont Blanc Ballpoint Pen Refills". It's not more than one. If you closely look at the packaging on the picture, it's just a single refill. As well, Montblanc is one word, not two. You would think the seller would get that right. Also, keep in mind this is a single ballpoint pen refill for a whopping $15.05! That's insanely expensive for any ballpoint refill, no matter whose pen it fits. Unfortunately, there are only two manufacturers of Montblanc compatible ballpoint refills: Montblanc and Montverde. Two Montverde refills cost $6.75 and offer nearly equivalent performance compared to Montblanc. I love my Montblanc pen, but I surely wish their refills were more affordable. Three Uniball Jetstream ballpoint fine point pens cost around 2/3 of one Montblanc ballpoint refill. Uniball Jetstream are widely considered the best writing pen money can buy.

This might be a very good product but I don’t buy any product with the expectation that it’s already been opened. For a 17 dollar pen refil the package should be 100% new and unopened.

Though Mont Blanc refills are pricey, I would only buy these OEM replacements. There are other off-brand refills for less, but you will be getting what you pay for - off black color and skipping with the ink. Mont Blanc black is a true black color and the ball is perfectly manufactured, giving you a nice flow of ink with a very smooth write.

My previous ballpoint refill was purchased at an office supply store, & it never worked well. It appeared to be a knockoff. However, this one came in a Mt Blanc package, & has their logo on the refill itself. Bottom line, this one writes perfectly. No comparison

I am dissatisfied with this Monte Blanc refill. It skip and leaks. I am afraid to put in my shirt pocket. As soon as I can find a replacement, I am throwing it in the trash.
