These Tritium Sights are the best value and brightest night sights on the market.
I use the Mepro Tritium Sights whenever possible since they are a great value and last longer than other brands that are more expensive and half as brite. I have some 10 year old sights that are still twice as bright as the Trijicon factory Night Sights. These sights are some of the brightest and sharpest sights on the market and are very easy to pick up in low light or even in zero light . As a gunsmith I stock the handgun versions for the most popular handguns on the market and are my preferred brand of night sights and in the decade that I have been selling these I have never had a customer come in with any problems or issues with them. Where I have had customers who were not happy with other brands that have a smaller dot and more expensive. In fact when customers ask about upgrades to their handguns I typically suggest adding tritium night sights as the first thing to upgrade if their new handgun does not come with them from the factory.

Unacceptable
The front sight is a definite plus and clearly works as it should. The rear, however, is a waste of time. The two globes are too small for a sight picture at arms length and the provided screw obscures the diopter numbers on the sight drum. The screw size is not that big of a deal but combined with the lack of visibility of the rear sight, it's not effective on my MP5. Be careful when purchasing this as Amazon did not want to do a return on this item.

Rear sight replacement may be unnecessary for guns fitted with a diopter drum
Great front sight upgrade for the MP5/SP5. However, if you've replaced the rear castle sight (SP5) with a MP5-style diopter drum, the two dot tritium rear sight replacement seems pointless. "Seems" is the operative word, as I haven't shot my SP5 with the replacement front and rear sights installed. I'll come back and edit this review after putting a 100 rounds or so down range.

Well designed, built to take what gets dished out. An excellent value.
We spend over 1/2 of our time in the hours of darkness. If you need a gun after dark, the risk of using it escalates without the ability to accurately point it. Using a flashlight just lights YOU and YOURS up and makes YOU into a target. Glow in the dark night sights are your single best investment. These are easy to install (you will need a hammer and a soft, brass punch). Knock out the roll pin from the muzzle end to remove the old front sight, re-install the roll pin from the rear of the front sight. The rear sight unit installs with a Phillips screw driver (neither tool is included). Takes about ten minutes to install. A hemostat to hold the roll pin with really helps too.

Quick and easy install on my HK clone
Quick and easy install on my HK clone. Rear sight needs nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver. Front sight needs a punch & hammer. The roll pin is tapered and is removed from front to rear. Install is (making sure you have the roll pin oriented properly) from rear to front. Use some masking tape on the cocking tube to prevent marring the finish. Total time is approximately 5 minutes (this is taking your time!). The final step to to go to the range and check your zero and correct as needed.

The front sight is an improvement over the post that came with the weapon. The dot is not very large or bright. The rear aperture is of no use to me. The dots are so small my 50 year old eyes can"t see them well.
