Huge fan of Capital Teas tea - premium tea made with the convenience of an effective k-cup. Worth every penny.
I am more of a coffee drinker and use my Keurig every morning for a quick cup of coffee to start my day. Occasionally, I'll make a cup of tea with some cheap tea sachets from the grocery store, but I'm usually disappointed with the lack of flavor and quality in addition to having to prep it by boiling a pot of water and waiting for the tea to steep. However, I'm pretty caffeine sensitive and more often then not I feel a too wired and jittery from a cup of coffee. On top of that I'm a little skeptical on how healthy drinking a cup of coffee everyday is. I know tea has less caffeine and a wealth of health benefits, but I just didn't like the taste from the tea I had tried thus far. Then recently I got into a conversation with a friend (who is a big tea connoisseur) about how I wasn't a big fan of tea. He recommended I check out Capital Teas which he said had some of his favorite teas based on their quality and had just come out with K-cup versions. I was skeptical, but figured I'd give it a go and especially enticed since I could make tea in my keurig.Boy was my friend right. Not only did it take seconds to make in my Keurig, it was by far the best tasting tea I had ever had. Like I said before, I'm not a huge tea drinker so it's hard for me to give an articulate explanation of the flavors, but reading the product description, I have to agree that the "thick malt and full-bodied character", "floral-like cup and coppery infusion", "superb fruity and sprightly flavor", "airy piquant flavor that opens the blend", and "burgandy depth with light oaky notes" are all things that resonate with me when I think about this tea which is apparently made from a combination of black teas from Sri Lanka, India, Kenya and China on top of being organic. And, like its name indicated, it is definitely a great morning-starter with just enough caffeine to wake me up and keep me alert throughout the day as opposed to the caffeine overdose I was getting with my cup of coffee. Additionally, this might just be in my head, but I did feel like I was more mentally stimulated after drinking the tea and was way more productive and sharp at work. Regardless, I'm happy to say that I've been converted to a tea drinker and will be starting my mornings with these tea k-cups and I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors they offer in their tea cups, especially the Jasmine Gold Organic since I've heard great things about the health benefits of green tea. For now though this breakfast black tea has been awesome and the quality has made it worth every penny. No more coffee or the cheap tea sachets from the grocery store for me.

The foil top does not have the necessary RFID tag to make the machine happy. This is easily solved by taping a foil ...
Be aware these K cups are not compatible with Kurig 2.0 brewers. The foil top does not have the necessary RFID tag to make the machine happy. This is easily solved by taping a foil lid from a used K cup that is compatible over the top of this one. Then they brew fine in the 2.0 machines.

The taste was good. But it says kerig compatible
The taste was good. But it says kerig compatible. But my 2.0 would take it. So I had to make it the old fashion way. I liked the flavor but because it isn't 2.0 comparable and extra work to pop the lid open... I am giving it 3 stars and not buying again.

Tea that grabs your attention
Interesting flavor - the ginger is warm and comforting but I found the turmeric has a sharp bite that really grabs your attention. Once you get past the surprise of the flavors, you'll find it's actually quite delicious - and a great pick me up for the afternoon too. Well done to Capital Teas!

I love the taste of this tea
I love the taste of this tea! BUT the K cup did not work in the Keurig. Tea was clogging up the cup and the tea and water was coming out the top. I tried doing holes all the way around the bottom of the K cup which did help a little but I still could not get a full cup of tea. I feel that if they did it the same way Numi does their tea K cup it would work much better.
