Nice pair of hip waders for under $30
Nice pair of hip waders for under $30. The only thing that might want to do is upgrade the inside foot padding. It is ok but i usually upgrade the inside foot liner in almost every boot or shoe I get. Rubber stops at calf and like that because it cuts down on weight and ease of storing in my pack. Good thick traction on sole of boot. This is a nice solution for someone who does not want to spend $150 or more on a real nice pair of waders. If you want to keep your feet and legs dry it does the job. Hope this helps.

Great Hodgman quality hip boots. Run large.
Very well made. Typical Hodgman high quality hip boots. They run pretty big though. Got these for my adult sons who are true size 11 shoe and both about 5'11" tall. Even with thick hunting socks on, the boots are very loose on their feet, and the top of the wader material goes several inches above the crotch, so they bunch up and don't stay up that well. They will work for them for duck hunting, but in hindsight, I should have gotten them a size 10.

Keep these stowed in the truck for quick unplanned fishing trips
I normally wwar stockingfoot waders but was looking for something to keep in the truck for those times when I'm driving by the river and it looks so perfect that a need to stop and cast and a couple dozen times on my way home from the store!!these boots are perfect for that. They are easy to take off and on without needing to take off my jacket. They are lightweight and don't take up a ton of room behind the seat of my truck. I know you aren't really supposed to store waders in the car, which is why I wanted some sturdy but inexpensive, and these fit that descripition to a tee. Thanks Hodgman

They looked nice when I pulled them out of the box when they arrived at my house. But, when I finally got to use them fishing my feet would get wet. I found two pin holes on both boots in the same spot. when I returned from my trip I found that I can't return them cause its past the return date.

Hodgman Mackenzie Cleated Hip Bootfoot waders.
I like the boots. If you use them in sand or gravel or rocky streams the aren't mossy or have slime covered rocks you will probably be fine. However, as described in the pros and cons below if you use them in the type of water I fish the cleated soles are too slick.Pros: Light weight Fit well Easy to get on and offCons; Cleated soles too slick in areas I fish. I took a spill first time I wore them when stepping on a slime covered rock. I have added felt to the soles in hopes that will help. I have not worn them since I added the felt so I can't say whether my "fix" has worked or not.

Ok...
Fast service. But both had minor leaks. Looked along the boot/wadder seam on the inside and saw several small bubbles with little splits in them. Rather than go through all the trouble of returning and all that. I just laid a small amount of clear silicon sealant on each bubble/split and that fixed the leak issue. If your wadders leak? Look at that seam for those small bubbles and splits!

Lightweight and worth it
Use these for float trips on nice days when I dont want to wear chest waders. Kept me cool and dry. Good addition for any fisherman when boots are too little and chest waders are too much. Good value and arrived quickly.

Fits perfectly. Nicely made.
We purchsed three different brands which were all made quite well. However, the Hodgmans fit wide enough in the correct size to accomodate a heavy sox. In order to get the width in the other two brands we needed to get a size larger and then the boots were too long. Although we have not used these yet, they appear to be well made and the light weight tops cut the weight down from our all rubber boots by 30%. Although the top is too long for my husband (5' 9"), I will be able to shorten them quite easily and this extra height would be great for a tall person.

Good waders, too bad I got a defective pair.
They are comfortable and light weight. But my pair arrived with 2 holes and a bunble on the material right above the boot. The worst part that I could see handwritten numbers next to the holes, which means that they knew this pair was defective.Decided to patch it up myself cuz it will take forever to exchange them for another pair with pandemic on the go.

Leaks
Leaked on the first day. Seemed to hold out initially but was completely soaked. Based on previous reviews this seems to be a common occurrence. I would think for low water levels it would hold out. It seemed to leak right at the seam where the boot and the nylon meet. Would not recommend based on my experience.

They fit
Fit well with felt insole, leaked around boot top seam so I fixed it. Upper leg material not tough. Easy to penetrate with thorns from raspberries and roses.

Good value for money
Work well. My only complaint is the boot part is a little narrow. Would have liked a wider width.
