Great Amp for Distortion
This amp has fantistic distorted tones at reasonable volumes. i can get anything from classic rock with a Les Paul to really heavy tones with EMG pickups. I have gigged with this amp in a small venue playing classic rock and it's perfect for that. My effects loop works fine. The EQ section actually has a dramatic effect on the tone so it may take you a few days to get everything dialed in. I have found my tubescreamer really works with this amp for leads.Despite my 5 star rating, the biggest shortcoming of this amp is the lack of 2 channels which is a bit of a pain when gigging. The 3 gain structures also have dramatically different volumes, so if you want to switch back and forth while gigging you are going to have to adjust the master volume as well. There way be a creative way to get around this with a volume pedal. There are other blues breakers that have two channels, but it's my understanding that they don't have the gain structure of the 15 watt version or reverb.

This is my deserted island amp
I've had this amp in the 15W combo version a few years now and only now writing a review but I've got t share that it is by far the most versatile amp I've ever owned. If you want one amp that can do a lot, this is a top candidate. I own (and have owned) a lot of different brands and styles of amps, from pure Fenders, to 5150s, Marshalls and Voxes, and this little gem just brings me back again and again with its "contour" switch. Clean to EVH saturated, they make the EL84s cover the entire world of sounds that you'd ever need. Put a pedalboard in front of it and look out, you've got it all. It's definitely, without hesitation the most versatile tube amp I've owned. If you need a small "does it all" tube amp, check the 15 out. It's just terrific IMO. I've not tried the other models, just the 15.

Served my application perfectly-recording
First, I am not affiliated with Fender and this is a true owner review. I own 100 watt H&K Lifeson Triamp. It's too heavy to move around. It is also very expensive on the electric bill for the amount of hours that I work. I needed a small tube amp for recording mostly. I did a lot of research. AT the price point I was working with in and after all the research I did I had it narrowed down to the blues JR and this amp. I am very happy with this amp. Tonally it's amazing. The clean is "clean enough" yet the dirty is everything in between. It's one channel and I don't mind. Basically set and forget is what I do anyways. I use my volume knob to control my gain and this amp reacts well to that. Just one thing to note. The effects loop and DI out are post volume master I am fairly certain. Meaning the send level changes with the master. This is not my preference. Hence 4 stars. The amp sounds fine just straight up. Once miced it really shines!!!! The compression is there and its just amazing. I use Eleven rack (with boss rc50 looper in it's effects loop) and it's "output to amp" to drive the bluesbreaker with a clean unprocessed guitar signal. Blending options between what I can get out of the amp, it's miced signal, DI with the 11Rack with it's tonal possibilities through DAW are amazing. Happy Recording!!!Oh, and the speaker extension sounds great thru my Marshall 2x12. And an option on amp to mute bluesbreaker speaker and use external speaker is well thought out. The amp itself is not the most beautiful thing. But who cares if the tone is there. It's made out of plywood and not birch. The metal plate that all the controls are mounted to and it's control knobs are kinda bland looking but if you care about tone, you will get passed that quick. I have had it for two weeks.

It's Fine Amp for Practice and Home Recording
Update: I bought the amp June 2016. The effects loop buzzed. Despite buzz played it all the time. By October 2016, Fender fixed the problem. It was worth the wait. Really fun amp! I'm glad I held onto it!I'm writing about the Bassbreaker 15 combo amp. Short reviewโI play it all the time, and I love it.The longer review: I own a DRRI. It's headroom gives me the classic Fender clean tone I love. I've been looking for a lower wattage, pedal friendly practice amp with a master volume that would add gain at lower more socially acceptable volume levels. The BB 15 combo piqued my interest because it had what I was looking for, plus it had the gain structure control, XLR output for recording, and an effects loop. When I unboxed, and plugged it in the higher gain settings were noisy. At first, I got anxious because I'm used to playing a DRRI, and there isn't much noise since its a low gain amp. Then I remembered that higher gain equals more noise. Everything was going to be louder including the 60 cycle hum from my single coil pups. I tested my theory by I turning the volume down on my telecaster, all of the loud hum went away. For more confirmation, I plugged in my Les Paul knockoff. Aside from minimal noise, the stock humbuckers were essentially quiet. To reduce the 60 cycle hum from my telecaster, I plugged in the least expensive Furman surge protectors. They do a great job reducing noise. My pedals, especially my analog pedals, sounded noiser. So I ditched my wall warts and finally upgraded to a Voo Doo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus. Isolating power to each pedal made a noticeable difference. Also, I put analog modulation pedals like chorus, phaser, and flange in front of the amp. My digital delay and digital reverb are in the loop because they don't make much noise.Even after taking these steps, there was an audible hum when I connected the cable to the send jack in the effects loop. I chatted with a Fender representative online and he recommended I run the effects loop cables off to the left side if the amp by the input jack. Sure enough, it reduced the noise threshold of the hum to an acceptable level for me. In the meantime, Fender has told me they will fix the effects loop hum and it will be covered by the warranty.I guess if you're going to get this amp because of the effects loop, it's important to understand three things about the effects loop hum:First, noise and hum seem to be the number one and two gripe about nearly all amps that have an effects loop. All you need to do is is google "hum in effects loop" and look at search results.Second, the effects loop hum on the BB 15 is a low volume hum and remains constant. On my amp, it doesn't get louder if I increase gain, gain structure, or master volume. Oddly enough, for me it becomes more noticeable when I play at very low "don't wake the kids" volume. As I increase the volume, the hum disappears relative to the loudness of the guitar.Third, as stated above, Fender knows about the issue, and the fix is covered under the warranty. All in all the effects loop is fun thing to have when you feel like using it. My delay and reverb sound crisp and clear even when the amp is heavily distorted.Lastly, the XLR output is pristine, and its a great feature to have. All in all, its a great amp!

Great, little guitar amp.
This thing is loud enough for gigs, rehearsals, everything. No more need for huge, heavy cabs and speakers or combos. This unit has a great, warm, clean sound that is easy enough to dirty up. I don't even use a distortion pedal anymore, and when I need extra oomph I just add a boost pedal that I was already using. I was very impressed by this unit. This would make a great starter amp for a student, but I use it for rehearsals and gigs no problem.

I get a lot of feedback, static and buzing when I increase the load from low to medium. Does not meet my expectations.
