Paranoia can sometime be a good thing, Drivers are infected with a virus
I picked this product because the card architecture is the same as the card I'm currently using which means there is a good chance the drivers will be compatible for both old and new cards. However, the driver CD is infected with a Trojan virus (Trojan.Rincux.AW) and I'm seriously not impressed. I managed to get round the problem by copying the CD content to a location on my Hard Drive WITHOUT OPENING any files and then used BitDefender to disinfect the offending files i.e. delete them. Thankfully the RAR file containing the virus was not required during installation and works for my existing card. It doesn't mention compatibility for windows 10 but so far I've had no problems. My machine runs with Win 10 (64bit) if you're wondering. As for the card itself, it looks to be in good condition but I can't comment whether it works as I'm still using my old card. Basically I bought the card to hopefully replace the drivers on the CD that blew up in my machine a while back Had to give this 1 star due to the virus. What's the point in installing something that will harm your operating system and make it vulnerable to ID theft etc.

Works great, great price!
Worked great for testing older components in older motherboards. Both older machines I tested it in worked immediately. Might be some boot options you need to set in the motherboard if you intend on booting from a device connected through it. But otherwise great for older machines with only IDE connections that might be finicky, OR in my case, SATA ports that no longer work.

Godshark 4 port pci sata raid card
These little card are great. However the RAID set up is a little strange. You have to activate your drive even if not in software raid. The card only does software raid or you can use the OS to create a raid setup. You can have more than one in your computer they don't interfere with one another

accomplishes the goal of having additional sata ports
finding the correct drivers for win10 took some time and testing. program is pretty sparse in options. i did accomplish the goal of having additional sata ports for a raid 0 set up in a dell optiplex. transfer speeds are usb2 like, i suspect that is all that's supported on the pci slot. overall served my purpose of having a raid0 for data backup/expanded disc capacity.

Junk is too nice of a term
Popped it into an older Dell desktop. Showed up in POST. Hooked up a brand new Seagate 4TB drive and the adapter sees it. I'm not looking for RAID, I just need a SATA adapter for an IDE box. Install Ubuntu to the primary IDE drive and it can see the Seagate during the build. Try to run parted and it hangs. After about 5 minutes, I manage to get out of parted, but the system can no longer see the drive. I reboot and now the adapter no longer sees the drive during POST. I try different ports, different SATA cables, different IPCI slots, and multiple reboots. Zip. It no longer sees the drive. I put the drive into a functioning Windows box and I can immediately go into disk manager and initialize the disk, build a volume and format the drive. Put the drive back on the SATA adapter and it doesn't see it. There is no utility to go into the adapter to reset the card. You cannot even get into the card if it doesn't see a drive attached. There were no instructions included. No troubleshooting steps. Waste of $18 and a couple of hours time. During my troubleshooting, I came across many sites that mention this chipset as being of questionable quality and/or reliability. Avoid
