Mustang Survival Classic Flotation Bomber Jacket ~ with Reflective Tape

I tried another brand before purchasing the Mustang. It was tight and poorly made and the floatation material was stiff. This coat is true to size with room for clothes underneath, and the floatation material is soft, making it comfortable to wear. It blocks the wind and the high collar keeps you warm. Don't waste time and money on a cheaper version.

Pretty rare that you buy something and it not only meets your expectations but exceeds them, however that is the case with this coat. Really well made, material is tough, seams look good, I’m genuinely impressed. I’ve work it for work on a tugboat and just general winter tasks on land, and it’s extremely warm. Blocks wind completely. It is made in China but they do a great job with the QC. Highly recommend it. My only suggestion would be that I wish the collar had some kind of lining instead of just the bare nylon. The coat is already over $300, I wouldn’t mind paying an extra $20 even if it had sheepskin or even fleece or neoprene like the cuffs. Anyway I still give it like 98/100. I would say consider possibly sizing up if you plan to layer underneath. With a tshirt or single long sleeve my normal size is ok, but kinda tight with a hoodie+tee.

I have worked on vessels for almost 25 years full time as an enforcement officer and now as a commercial tour boat captain. I am on my second jacket as I wore my first one out. These Jackets are warm and comfortable. I have an inflatable PFD and a mustang exposure suit and quality is outstanding. Highly recommend Mustangs Line as the quality is superb and their equipment will last for years if properly cared for and could SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

Much warmer than I thought. Legal for river work. Love it.

This is my second coat. I’ve had the other one 23 years. I put the old one on and went in the water and still supports me.

I had been looking for a good float coat in the local stores when I came across this one on Amazon. Mustang is the float coat to have and this one was priced $70.00 less than any of them I found in local stores here in Wrangell, Alaska. The coat is well made and sized correctly. Being in a relatively remote location it is sometime difficult or very slow for us to receive items. Not this time! I ordered the coat and in less than a week it arrived through the local post office. I couldn't ask for better service and would recommend this coat to anyone looking a good reliable piece of survival gear that you can depend on when you need it.

It’s high quality and very warm, it might seem a bit bulky if you order a size up as I did but it’s definitely good quality for the money

Good for colder weather boating and fishing.
