First Alert 1039879 Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Detecto

This smoke detector co2 combo is fabulous. Such a great price for two products! They are super easy to install as well. I’ve only had them for maybe three months so I can’t speak to long term battery use, but I haven’t had any issues with them. They are more generic in they don’t speak to you, it just sounds an alarm. But that’s fine with me, since there two separate devices I don’t have to worry about figuring out which one is going off. Would definitely buy these again.

I bought this package (both in same package at a great price) for my Mom. Now I feel better about her safety.

As with many things, I’ve learned to not buy a smoke detector online. In my case, this one didn’t have the battery connectors and for whatever reason I wasn’t given the option to return even though it said free returns. So it’s pretty much useless to me.

This combo set was perfect for what I needed. I installed the carbon monoxide detector downstairs and the fire alarm upstairs. Do not install your carbon monoxide detector upstairs or high on a wall, they don't call it the pet killer for no reason.The plastic housing does seem a little cheap but no one is going to be touching it so I think it will be fine.

It's easy to forget that fire and smoke detectors need to be replaced every decade or so. So I bought these as a Christmas gift for my sister. She liked them.
