Instructions to Cook
The media could not be loaded. This is a great product for poaching eggs. It's definitely a lot easier than the traditional method. It does take a significant amount of time to cook though. Also, if you want to eat your poached eggs by themselves then these are great, but if you want to serve them on something else, you have to grease the baskets significantly because the egg does stick. Here's some basic instructions:1. Bring a medium to large pot of water to a rolling boil2. Add 1 egg to each poaching basket (if you want an easy removal you have to butter each basket significantly well.)3. Add baskets to rolling water, ensuring that no water enters the basket4. Cook for about 20-30 mins depending on how done you want them5. Remove from water with a spoon and serve.Hope this helps!

Works well but different than poaching directly in water. They take a a little more time and work.
Using these is different than poaching directly in water. Unlike poaching directly in water, you need to oil or butter these before putting in the eggs if you don't want them to stick, you don't get the loose whites you do in water, you need to get the water to a near full boil, you need to cover the pot you're using, and it takes longer, as much as 6 minutes. Also, use just enough water so they float. With those factors known, you get nicely shaped poached eggs. The real benefit is you get the whole egg in one nice shape, vs. it being spread out like a flying saucer or having to strain the more liquid part of the whites out. The price you pay for that is the extra time and effort to use these.

Great low end egg poacher
Spray with oil before adding the eggPut into pan / pot with just enough cold water for it to float.Bring to boil, reduce to simmer, cover pot/pan w/lidSet timer for 6 - 7 minutes (you will have to experiment but it does take longer)Turn off the heat and remove with either a spatula, or even lift by the sides w/bare hands as the silicon is well insulated.I will sometimes flip upside down on a spatula, before putting on a plate, to let a small amount of water drain just in case there was condensation. These might be dishwasher safe but I've been handwashing them because it is so easy to do that and why take any chances? You can invert them to help remove the egg or to wash more effectively. The good:1. no mess in the pot, I just dump the water and it is clean.2. the egg yolk never breaks as I crack the egg and gently slide it into the pouch and place it into the cold waterThe bad:1. It's hard to tell exactly when it is done, so you have to work out the timing and trust that. It can look cooked on the top and be undercooked in the bottom but perhaps it would be different if I did not cover it. I'm still experimenting but I've had good experiences between 6-7 minutes.

Best poached eggs
Love these! I don’t know why I waited so long to try them -if you like poached eggs I don’t think you can do better. Spray them with one of the aerosol oil‘s, drop the eggs in to a pan with 1 inch of boiling water, cover, cook for six minutes and you have perfection.

I was excited to find such a clever product on Amazon. The price was great and the reviews were promising. However, I was sorely disappointed when I opened my package and found onlya clear plastic bag with the egg poachers. NO DIRECTIONS!!I will have to do more searching to find some guidance and hopefully I can a better review.Stay tuned!

Hard to clean
I really wanted to love these. First of all they do not work as expected at all. After spraying them with cooking oil and following the directions they still came out either under cooked or over cooked. Water gets into the little cups and some of the egg white still escapes into the pan. They don't come clean in the dishwasher unless you scrub them first and they are a pain to clean. The real deal breaker and main reason I returned them is that the eggs have a chemical taste to them from the silicone.

Good for price
Continue to learn best way to use. The plus is that it's very quick - about 30 secs to cook in microwave.Need to be careful w placement in microwave - somewhat tipsy.Recommend toothpick insertion in egg through yolk to prevent splatter.

Best I've found
These work well, and have a durable enough base ring that they don't tip over like lighter silicone egg cups... The sides and "ears" are taller, too, so they don't tend to take on water and are relatively easy to remove from the pan. I use them to make Eggs Benedict frequently, and the eggs always look very nice poached in these. I recommend them!
