Not The Right Images Of This [2017 Line] Of Torrefied RD - T16 Guitars. "Bait & Switch Tactic's"..?
The 2014-2015 Models Are What Is Depicted On Amazon. What You Receive Is The 2017 Model That 'Recording King' Hasn't Updated The Images Either, And The Newer Model Is Totally Different In The 'Rosette'....The New Rosette Is Less Elaborate And Has 'Fat Brown' Rings Equal In Thickness To The Frets On The Guitar! They Ruined This 'Torrefied Series' In My Opinion, Reason Being The Balance Of The Design Is Altered; The Focus On The Guitars Lines Are Not 'Fine Lines' Anymore, And The Hard Hardened/Baked/Aged Top Made It Difficult For The Factory To Place A Fat Brown Inlay Into The Cut Groove; Resulting In Poor Fit Up And Filler Finding It's Way Into The Inlays Edge To The Guitar Top. So Now The 2017 Line Looks Cheap And Undesirable "IF" Your Looking To Purchase What The Images Are Showing You ! Buyer Beware ! Shame On You Recording King ! You Were Once The Best Looking Cheap Torrefied Guitar On The Market. Some Call It Progress...I Call It Crap. The Images I Am Providing Show The Differences Around The Sound Hole...Image On Left [ Older Series ] Image On Right [ What They Send You ].

Nice guitar for the money
Nice guitar for the money. Well built, but I suspect that the sound is a bit muffled due to heavy application of finish. The guitar looks as though it was dipped in a vat of maple syrup. I'm not a luthier, but it seems like a bit more attention to the finish would have yielded a fantastic result. Mid range tone is quite pleasing, but lacks any decent sustain. A passable backup guitar.
