Professional quality
I did a month of research before committing to this kit. You will spend twice the price on this kit compared to the ones in the big box home improvement stores but it is worth the investment. This is a high quality epoxy rated for 20+ years. if you get a cheaper kit you will see it wear off and flake in a few short years. Those kits contain water sometimes and this kit is 100% epoxy. The kit comes with just about everything you need. In addition, I would recommend: Paint roller, shoes you will throw away, plastic mat or dedicated area to mix, drill to attach to the included mixing attachment, and gloves. The seller is great. She was very accommodating and allowed me to pick my own color flake chips. Installation took about 4 hours by myself. I did not need to grind the concrete as it was a new house and didn't have any stains or residue on it. I did the acid wash that comes with the kit though which preps the surface. Everyone comments about how great the floor looks. It's easy on the feet and a breeze to clean up. 1 year update: We are approaching one year with my floor being installed. I continue to be impressed. There is no peeling or wear anywhere on the floor. We park the cars on it every day. I have spilled oil on it and other chemicals, but they all wipe up like water. There is not even a stain where the oil was. I have even waited a couple weeks with oil on the floor before cleaning it up, it wiped right up. If there is one thing i regret, it's using the optional gripping salt that comes with the kit. It gives the floor some grab when you're walking on it, but it makes it a little harder to clean, kinda like wiping a fine grain sandpaper. ----- Two and a half years later, there is no peeling or staining. Very easy to clean! Still extremely satisfied!

Good product
I used this product for my garage floor and bought the taupe color which came out great. It really adheres to the floor really well and is non slip, non skid and is water resistant. This kit has everything you need but the only thing I wish would be able to choose different flake colors. Overall good product.

Great product, preparation is important
This is the second time I’ve used Epoxy-Coat for a garage floor coating. The first time was my own garage, and this time was for my neighbor. For someone with little to no experience, it was pretty easy to apply to a two car garage. My only advice is to do some research on how to apply it. First off, I absolutely could not do it on my own. The exothermic reaction that occurs when you mix the two-part epoxy happens fairly quick, so we needed one person to pour and spread while the other rolled it out with the paint roller. By the time we were at the end of the project the epoxy was thick and more difficult to spread, so speed is important. Other than that, make sure to use the acid solution the day before to clean the surface. I found a leaf blower very useful to dry the concrete surface after rinsing. The floor was completely dry the next day. My only complaint (not enough to remove any stars) is that the squeegee included in the kit is really small. I ended up getting a 24-inch heavy duty squeegee with a broom handle, which worked really well to spread the epoxy. Also, you might want to invest in the spiked shoes. If you accidentally (or intentionally) walk through the wet epoxy your shoes/shoe covers will stick and mess up the coating. Overall though, I definitely give this product 5 stars. It’s MUCH cheaper than getting the garage floor professionally done. As long as you don’t mind some minor DIY flaws (some bubbles, missed spots, etc.) this will probably save you at least a couple thousand dollars over hiring a contractor.

It seems 2 part epoxy is the best way to cover a concrete floor, but this was DIFFICULT...
After getting all prepared and ready to begin, I had to run get a neighbor to open the big container which I could not manage. He left and I easily opened and stirred bucket A. For all my effort I could not open bucket B. Frantically punched holes in the lid with a screwdriver and tried to get the contents to drip into the large bucket. This attempt was extremely messy and difficult. (Must state, I had a broken arm at the time so was not able to handle things at my best.) Anyway, covering the floor was easy and looks beautiful. BUT now I fear it may not dry properly because the mixture was not perfectly prepared. Will put on the spiked shoes today and check it.

Stay away
Frustrating. Labeled good full kit. Doesn't include majority of what was needed. I had to go buy a set of tools, which is fine I could tell it didn't include that. I atructiosn are not clear AT ALL. It says to mix in the container they came in, well I ordered the large 2500sq ft one that has only full 5 gallon buckets. So I have no idea what the mixing ratio is. This kit does NOT include top clear coat by has instructions it did. It also talks about the acid wash (say included) not included. I have spent hours just getting the right stuff. Super frustrated. Called customer support. It rings for a few minutes and just hangs up. Tried calling 3 times.

Best epoxy kit on Amazon for the price
This epoxy coat floor kit is awesome. I’m in love with my garage floor and couldn’t be happier with the results. I ended up adding a clear coat on top of the dart grey to give it a nice shiny and protective finish. 100 percent solids epoxy you can’t beat it. Looks amazing. Be sure to do your prep work! And when it comes to mixing my buddy and I mixed all the epoxy at once and after 3/5 minutes of mixing we poured out all of the epoxy on the floor and used a large squeegee to get the epoxy to all corners of the garage and even up the side walls. Followed the squeegee up with a large 18 inch roller and then went straight to chips. I know this project can be intimidating but as long as you take your time with the prep work you will have good results. Notice that the epoxy sets up quickly so if you mix the entire batch make sure you have some help to get the material spread out evenly and quickly. Get yourself and your helper some cleats spiked shoes extra large squeegee and an 18 inch roller. Check out epoxy coats website to see all the tools that they recommend and use. I plan on using my garage as a work space and likely won’t have any vehicles on the epoxy so I’m sure it will hold up just fine in my application. Do the prep, get the right tools that the pros are using, get a little extra epoxy it will be worth it to have extra especially on your first run.

Epoxy coat kit works well.
Applied using squeegee and coats well. However, coverage is thick and reduces actual overall coverage. I will try to buy an additional 3 gallons with just epoxy and not the kit.

Best Product Out there!!
Absolutely love this product!! When I tell you this is good quality it really is. Plus for the price you can’t beat it. I was able to complete the project in 2.5 hours. In total it took me 5 days. Day 1: I washed the floor with Zep Concrete cleaner. Day2: Next day I etched with dry lock and let dry Day 3: Next day I etched with the solution provided with the kit and let dry Day 4: I caulked cracks and let dry Day 5: I laid epoxy When people say the prep is the most important part they are not kidding. Don’t be lazy with this process! I feel like the prep made it so much easier and the epoxy looks and feels very durable. Also the tip about hitting the flakes on the ceiling gives a perfect even spread. I was able to apply the epoxy in two batches and didn’t have any issues with it setting fast. I live in South Georgia where it is always hot and humid. I did it earlier in the morning when it wasn’t too hot to make sure I had time to work the product about 70 degrees or so outside. If you can apply in the morning do so.
