Let me just preface my comments, we are in the construction business. My husband bought JCB cordless tools on a whim almost as an experiment to see if they were as durable as other name brands. This particular impact driver Has been used consistently for almost a year. It works and works well. The chassis is durable. The Motor does not get hot under heavy use. The trigger is variable. Lots of power, no issues driving anything.Replacement parts are cheap. The batteries are cheap in price not in quality. Everything else about this line is inexpensive when compared to name brands. They do seem to last however. Where do they fit in the overall cordless tool world scheme? 6 out of 10. Solid choice.

I have several JCB tools, I have been quite pleased with them. I do not use these professionally, but as a serious DIY hobbyist.I had the JCB brushed Impact driver, and got this one to replace it. More power, and battery lasts EVEN longer when using this one.Bit does not stay in as tight as I would like it to, and moves in and out SLIGHTLY. More an annoyance than a problem.For the price, I recommend this tool.

What can you expect from an impact driver with the JCB Machine Company name on it? Not much apparently, reknown for their construction machinery and farm equipment, JCB sold out and allowed a random company in China to lisence out their name. They then went on to create a line of power tools with mediocre power tools with cheap of the shelf parts that barely get the the job done for the money you pay. I expected better from a company like JCB with their reputation of quality machinery.
