So I started using these after my stylist used them on me. It was intimidating at first but I really does work well to thin out and shape thick hair. Whoa, these are sharp. I am a cosmetologist and I lost my shears like this that I paid $200.00 for. I didn't want to pay again, thus I took my chances on these, being the reviews are favorable. These ARE razor sharp! I accidentally swiped my finger and cut it. (silly me) I hope they stay sharp because these will be my go to from now on. They cut the hair well. Save money? Oh yea!

The product received has no Equinox branding or marking whatsoever and zero packaging either. Unauthentic product. Very disappointed.The previous scissors has clear Equinox branding/marking on the blade and it came with a shear holder/storage pouch.

I love these hair texturizing scissors. Easy to use and a lifesaver with COVID lockdown. I watched a YouTube video on how to use, and suggest for novices to do the same. Based on my research, I only use the first 2 inches from base of scissors, and do not close them all the way to gain better control of how much hair is cut. Can always go over the same area again, but once hair is cut, cannot do anything but wait until it grows, so incremental trimming / blending is best, in my opinion.

UPDATEThese scissors were great until they weren’t. They became dull overtime, which one can expect from anything knife scissor ect. The problem is these are NOT able to be sharpened. If you examine the grind on the non thinning side blade, you will see the extreme angle in which these were ground, making them impossible to sharpen. I have a great deal of experience in sharping knives, scissors ect, with multiple high end sharpening stones. I tried in vain many many times, many different ways to no avail.You get what you pay for, like anything in life.I began cutting my own hair roughly 3 months ago and have never looked back. These sissors make it all possible. Not only are they extremely well made, sharp, attractive and precise, the design allows an amateur like myself to do an excellent job cutting my own hair. Traditional sissors leave sharp lines obviously, where these allow me to blend everything with minimal effort. I have extremely thick hair and i have had issues with less expensive shears being able to effectively cut my hair. These truly cut like a hot knife through butter. Genuinely outstanding in every regard. Well done.

I gave these shears 5/5 for easy to use because it's fun and kind of mesmerising to thin my husbands hair at our covid barbershop! Go easy though--- my first time I was having so much fun he looked pretty patchy. Second time was great-- I'm basically a pro now.

These shears cut well the first time I used them, after that they were pretty much useless. They regularly need to be adjusted, just so the shears will close properly to actually cut hair -- the resulting cut is more a "pull" and "tear" of the hair.More recently, due to COVID-19 and a need to cut my own hair, I decided try and "fix" the shears by sharpening the blade (versus purchasing a different brand), unfortunately that did not improve the resulting cut/tear. I realize at this price point that I would not receive high quality thinning/texturing shears -- but expected better than one usage, particularly given all the positive reviews.FWIW, I initially purchased these shears to help fix bad haircuts and/extend the time between haircuts, since I regularly travel and find it hard to find a good salon that really understands how to thin my thicker hair.UPDATE: Since writing this review, I purchased a different pair of thinning shears on Amazon "6" Barber Hair Scissors Thinning Shears Professional Thinning Scissors Japan 440C Silvery Convex Edge Kinsaro, Brand: KINSARO"--these shears are far superior in my opinion and experience.

Great shears. For an at home you-tube-trained stylist, these are perfect for blending and even allover cuts for little ones that might shy away from pointy shears. I just show the blunt end and touch it to their arm and them i can do whatever i need. I have a usually uncooperative 2 year old client.

Well made and razor sharp. Adjustable tension and easily fit into my large male fingers although my wife will use them on me more often than I. Good value for money and I would recommend their purchase and use during this lock-down period and ultimately for future trimming and use.

Fantastic pair of thinning scissors. Highly recommended! I saw it listed on a website review with others that cost ~£50 (which I've also used in the past), and got to say these feel much better!

Great pair of serrated scissors! Wish I had bought it ages ago. It trims my fringe perfectly fine, just soft blurring of the edges, no harsh straight line cut.
