I had high expectations for this bamboo steamer basket kit based on others reviews. I just received it today and it is mostly good. The steaming times for food seemed a bit off as something was supposed to take 15 mins took 30 mins but that could be user error. My only real complaint is the dumpling maker. I tried to use it to make dumplings but the dough stuck to the maker and because when you fold it in half some squirted out the back but then when you try to open it, the dough maker wants to cut off the stuff that came out the back. We ended up just hand making the dumplings to avoid the whole problem. Cleaning was a nightmare as some of the dough stuck to the bamboo and was hard to get out of places without a toothpick.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this kit because I wanted to start making dumplings at home & also have something to steam vegetables in. To my surprise, the package arrived in less than 2 days, and the box came with everything I could need to start using it.The steamer itself is very high quality & feels very sturdy and solid, and the tools it came with were great. I’ve so far used it to steam vegetables with my lunch and have made dumplings a few times for my family; the steamer itself worked as well as expected & I can’t wait to use it again. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a steamer.
