A Handy Tool for Consistent Results
When I'm batch cooking, or making a quantity of patties (burger, salmon, veggie, sausage), I like to be consistent in the size and shape of each one. This is useful for a couple of reasons:1. When you're cooking for others, it's a sign of respect and caring if the food is presentable. I like to remember the proverb, "Food should feast the eyes as well as the stomach." Having burger patties that look like they were made by Edward Scissorhands will not achieve that goal.2. When you're making a food budget, you want to be able to carefully portion out the ingredients so that there are no surprises. Also, it's easier to achieve consistent, high-quality results when the portions are all the same size.My only complaint is that you're really best off hand-washing these. On the bright side, you only use them once per batch, so if you do your main cooking once or twice a week, it's not an issue.

This is the one I'm Keeping
Finally a large hamburger that doesn't shrink down to a silver dollar hamburger! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I am so pleased with this. You can make any size hamburger you want up to five inches. This is great and something we've been looking for so that we can make a nice sized hamburger for cookouts. This is a very handy item as the rings can be set inside the base (has ridges to keep it from sliding around) where you can make any size hamburger or sausage, or any sized patty you might want from tuna to crab cakes The thickness is perfect! This easily makes a man-sized burger, or smaller if you wish. I love the way this item washes and packs for easy storage. This is the one you want. I'm tossing all the others scattered all over the place. This is the one I'm keeping. Love it! Update: Bought another for my sister to add to her Birthday booty!

Great product, great results
1st time out I made 24 burgers for a cookout using the middle sized ring.I weighed 1/4 lb of beef on a scale, placed the meat in the ring on a cutting board, distributed a bit by hand, then pushed down with the press, then made a dimple in the middle to help compensate for tendency of the middle "bloating up" when cooking. To avoid having the press stick to the ground beef I simply slid the press off sideways - worked great. The whole process is really easy. Then I used a thin metal spatula to move the burger to a sheet of wax paper (6 beef patties per sheet, stacked 4 high). Then off to the grill! Perfect burgers for the rolls I bought! Won't be buying pre-made burgers anymore. Although the pieces are dishwasher safe I wash the ring and press by hand as it only takes about 30 seconds.

A Nice Low-Cost Patty Forming Set! Great for Burgers, Sausage Patties, Even Hash Browns!
It does what it is supposed to do. I used a kitchen scale to weigh the the ground beef portions before putting it into the ring in order to prevent the need to trim off the over-run. 151-152 grams for the 1/3 lb ring and the patty comes out perfect every time. I use the smallest ring to make sausage patties. I actually used the large ring to form hash brown patties directly onto the surface of my electric griddle (I formed them with the griddle off and the surface was cool since the ring is plastic) and they turned out nice! As has been noted by others, be sure to use a piece of wax paper on top as well in order to keep the press from sticking to the meat, though I did not have any sticking issues when I formed the hash brown patties.

Finally, can make a bun sized burger and does not shrink when cooked
Tried several others and the burger is always smaller than the bun, the large ring made just the right sized hamburger. Going to have to shop for larger sized cheese slices. Also have to take care when putting on 5.5 x 5.5 pre-cut waxed paper (recommend 6" x 6"), it works but easy to move the big burger off the paper. While not an issue for me the press does not really allow for thick burgers, guess you could put 2 paddies per bun if so inclined. The large ring makes about a 1/3 pound burger.Another thing I really liked was the press did not stick to the burger, either the pressor (which I sprayed with Pam) or the ring.

Perfect patties and the press cleans and stores beautifully
Absolutely love this press! The burgers came out awesome, the press is easy to use and clean, and all of the components store together neatly. If you're a touch OCD like I am, you will love this! The standard sized burgers cook up fine as is, but the sliders will puff up while cooking. Let them thaw and just press your thumb into the center to make a dent about halfway through the patties and they won't turn into balls while cooking. We mixed crumbled bacon and carmelized onions into our meat before pressing and they were super tasty!

Works great and takes up barely any space
These are exactly what I was looking for. We were having a birthday party for our son and wanted to make sliders, but I wanted a quick way to do it since there was a lot of them to be made. This was inexpensive and worked perfectly. It took a few tries to get the hang of putting the right amount of meat in the circle, but once you're in the flow of it it was pretty effortless. It made the food prep a lot easier!!Also, what made me decide to purchase this patty press was the fact that it is all self-contained. Everything fits perfect into a small plastic 'case' that the actual press locks into. Barely takes up any space and it fits neatly in my drawer.Great purchase, works perfectly for the job it's supposed to do, and price is right!

Saves me money and look professionally made!
This is so nice! Love the different sizes! Small for the young ones, next size is our usual, and next size for picnics. I buy the 10 pound Chub of Hamburger. (Cheaper) cut in half. Season some with Mesquite seasoning (our favorite) and some differently each time. Press them out. Place on cookie sheet. Use parchment paper for differen layers freeze for 3-4 hour. Then take 6 or 8 make two stacks, placing wax paper between them and vacuum seal. Now you always have seasoned hamburger patties for those nights you donβt want a lot of work in the kitchen. I figure this saves me, time and lots of money! I get brags!
