This has been awesome for protecting my back pocket from wearing out when I keep an adjustable wrench in that pocket. Very well made and thick leather.

I've been using my pocket protector every day since beginning of June, so almost 3 months. I keep one full size pair of scissors in it. The protector was great, looks good and very useful, but yesterday I noticed the bottom stitches are coming undone and the sharps stick through. This would work better for smaller less sharp items. My pruning shears did not cut through their pocket protector, so maybe sharps with curved blades are better for this.

Seem has broken within the first month.

Prior to buying this, carrying my Iphone in any kind of plastic case, even a smooth one without ridges, would wear a hole through the exterior cloth of my cotton Khaki pants in 1-2 months and send them to the trash. I just slip this, smooth side in, into left rear pocket and slide my IPhone inside of it. I have only had 90 days, so don't know long term, but I am 99% sure this solves the problem. The soft unfinished side of the leather sliding into pocket will not produce the same kind of wear, and helps me make $30-50 pants last twice as long or longer. No need to insert phone into holder, which I did first. It is really tight and takes two hands to remove the phone if you do that.
