Don't buy this POS; and don't use this seller. Shocking customer service.
So, I purchased this monitor as it seemed to have the specifications I needed and I like LG panels. It failed (still is in this half-working state three months later).I raised it with the seller; you don't qualify for a return is what I was told.I called LG support and spoke to lemmings. By now; quite literally: 18+ times about it; The issue was raised with management at LG after they sent an engineer to look at it and those people told me that I "could not have described the problem better than they could have"; Yes, It's most certainly a hardware issue; They got my name wrong despite me repeatedly (5 times) spelling it to the LG "Customer Service" people phonetically and very very slowly. Shocking in and of itself but further compounded by the fact that those engineers were here to look at a television. Yes, my 49" Ultrawide MONITOR is a television according to LG support. So eventually, I spoke with Amy in LG "management". I use those quotes as no manager has less influence than this person who lied to me repeatedly and then didn't actually ever call me back nor send an email as I asked twice to use for follow up so I could avoid the lemmings I referred to earlier on the LG "Helpdesk".Now, three months later after Amy at LG decided to tell me that I would be refunded due to my issues and what I conveyed over the 2.5 months of working to resolve the problem I had to call again to the helpdesk lemmings to find out that she lied to me and I can just lump it.My question to LG was "are the parts you are going to repair my 2-year hardware warranty device with the same that the unit came installed with?". Yes was the answer; I asked "so, this device that hasn't lasted even 10 months is going to be repaired with the SAME parts that came installed in it and I should trust those repairs why?".Now; I posit to you - would YOU like a monitor that doesn't last even 10 months out of the so-called 2-year hardware warranty? If so, buy this. Good luck with the seller as all they did was postulate to me and claim to be helping - by calling LG and saying they had spoken (probably to the same lemmings at LG that I had already called before raising this with the seller) and then it was like a yo-yo going up and down. Not much going on here.I cannot more highly recommend that you avoid LG products entirely after what I've been through. 5 x LG consumer televisions returned and now replaced with Samasung variants which ACTUALLY WORK!.WOW; a product that doesn't break in the first 2 weeks and support that I can rely upon.Seriously. This is a rubbish company with the worst support experience that I have ever had. I'm from Africa - 3rd world stuff and NEVER have I been lied to like LG and the vendor have.Even Amazon won't help me. I have a complaint raised with LG now; I'll probably have to call them next week as they say one thing and do the opposite from my 3 month saga now.I'm beyond horrified by this experience and will never, so long as I live, buy, use, recommend, or anything related an LG product. As an IT company owner I can assure you LG; if you are reading this right now; you lost so much business man. It's cathartic writing this and wait for it... next is Twitter and social media. Yes you are gonna know as is the world and I'm gonna tag every @LG twitter handle with this same information.Treat customers fairly or lose business. The only way companies like you will succeed is to actually do the right thing. For me that wasn't the case so: May you Live In Interesting Times LG.

Great functionalities, size and picture quality
I really wanted a 49” screen that1. Has upstream USB-C charging and input2. Can get input from multiple sources and show them side-by-side3. KVM switchOn paper the Philips Brilliance has all of these and has better stand in my opinion (you c an put the laptop under the screen over the feet of the stand). HOWEVER, the negative reviews on that item here scared me off. Same with a version of Samsung that had the above three features, so I went for this one.It does have (1) and (2) although they could have thought of an easier way to switch between single source and two sources (currently it means going through a couple of menu steps) and it doesn’t have (3).Moreover it has only a refresh rate of 60Hz whereas the Samsung one was 110Hz. The Maximum resolution is not also the best. However, since I am not a gamer AND my MacBook Pro’s graphic card is also not the greatest these stuff is not that important for me. For my purposes which is mainly for work, the screen is really great, BUT not the best option in terms of value for money

Epic screen, flimsy cheap stand
Stand is flimsy and doesn't sit flat - had to chock the back by several mm. Supporting arm wobbly. Auto brightness sensor useless (screen is very bright, turned mine down to 50%). Supplied HDMI and DP cables too short unless your PC is on the desk with the display. Check graphics card compatibility - mine stated as OK but AMD driver update failed, so having to drive as 2 screens pending update. But screen is epic and improvement in working with multiple windows is massive!

Almost good
This is an ok monitor, if you are buying it for dual control and one of your devices is on a corporate vpn and the other isnt then you are wasting your money if you buy this.

Product was not fit for purpose
This product was sold faulty and not fit for purpose. The seller does not refund in time. Still waiting on a refund. Seller blames maker but my contract is with the seller and not the makerDon’t buy!

Multitasking monster!
I bought this to hook up to an M2 MacBook Air and multitask my way through the day - I’ve come from a 27” 5k iMac hooked up to 2 external 24” monitors which was fine, but not slick. This thing definitely delivers in terms of screen real estate and having no bezel down the middle of the display.Quality wise, the panel seems free of dead pixels, and is acceptable in terms of clarity- obviously doesn’t come close the 27” 5k iMac which had far better pixel density, but it depends what you want it for. If you’re coming from 24” full hd panels, this will be similar, text is clear enough. The Mac was plug and play with the USB-C cable, display matched the capability of the screen instantly at 5120x1440 without any additional driver. Software is available from LG to break the screen up into sections if you want. I did this for a day, but it’s a bit annoying so I prefer magnet for this type of function.Build quality - could be better. Sturdy stand, and yes it’s not flimsy, but it’s very plasticy which isn’t what I’m used to, but I suppose at £1200 I wonder if the quality matches the price. That said, if you use multiple systems day in day out as I do it’s a no brainier.
