Train derailed often?

We struggled for years with the train derailing. This year I decided to do some research. I read that though the track looks perfectly connected the rails may not be perfectly lined up. I checked and three of our connections we're not flush on the top. After I fixed this, we put the train on and now it runs perfectly. So happy.
