How does one remove the old rubber Molly in Oder to install the new one?

Make sure the bolt has been removed, then I used a needle nose pliars to grab the rubber edge and pulled it out. If the bolt is there and screwed in, the rubber insert will not come out as the bolt makes it bulge out so it is held fast.
