These are the best disposable bowls ever
Having said that, let me assure you that these are not as "disposable" as you might think. First of all, they are extremely sturdy. I use these to feed my cats, since they can nose them around on the floor or knock them off of things without danger of breakage. When they're finished, I simply put them in the dishwasher. Yes, in the dishwasher. I run them on a light cycle on the top rack and they come out pristine and ready to be read-used. I find that I can use and wash them more than a dozen times before they are ready to be thrown away! I searched for these at my Military Commissary, where I had found them to begin with, and when I wasn't able to get them there, I turned to Amazon. I will admit that the 3 pack of 18 count is quite a stack of bowls and will probably last me well through the end of the year, but these bowls are so versatile and useful, and re-usable, that it just made sense.

My favorite disposable bowls ...
I use these a LOT! They're a nice size (20 oz.), so they're great for soup or even pasta. I use them most often for instant oatmeal -- they hold up to boiling water just fine. I've microwaved a lot of leftovers in them, too, with no problems. These are a little more expensive than other bowls, but given the size and sturdiness, I'm willing to pay a bit more for them. Amazon's price on subscribe and save is great -- about the same as my supermarket charges when they're on sale.

Disposable bowls you can actually eat soup from
I've been on the hunt for quality disposable bowls that are also adorable and can hold a whole can of soup. Most paper and plastic bowls I've bought so far have all been smaller and very flimsy. The other brands can hold a serving of ice cream or some random fruit salad or chips one might have at an event, but I needed something more. I needed paper bowls that could handle a real meal of soup, or a large bowl of cereal. Something that wouldn't go flimsy the minute the liquid hit the bottom, and something that could could hold enough that there was still room to walk with the bowl and not have it's contents spilling out everywhere. These Vanity Fair bowls are just that.I've bought Chinet paper dishes, and I sort of expected these to be similar to them. They're not actually. They are just about as firm as Chinet, but have a less cardboard texture and feel than Chinet does. These feel closer to the smooth finish of a real bowl, compared to Chinet bowls. I have no problems emptying a whole large can of Healthy Choice Soup into one of these bowls, then putting it in the microwave for 2 minutes to heat it up. Nothing burns, melts or gets flimsy. I'm able to pull it out and eat the soup and even by the time I'm done, there's no problems with these bowls absorbing any liquid or leaking. They work so well, it almost seems strange throwing them away!If you're looking for disposable bowls that you can actually eat soups out of, and a good amount of it too, these Vanity Fair bowls are what you're looking for.

Vanity Fair bowls top the list in looks and strength.
Vanity Fair Impressions Bowls are some of the strongest bowls I've ever used! They hold up well even with hot soup! This is unusual, and they stay sturdy while you eat. They are nice looking as well. I've never regretted buying them. They have a satiny looking finish. They are a little too large for a side dish for beans, corn, or other veggies, but ideal for soup and even desserts. I will order them again to use for soup and some desserts.

Very useful bowls
I originally would buy these bowls at local stores, but the bulk price and subscribe and save convenience from Amazon is great. These bowls are the perfect size for a can of soup or chili, and they are sturdy enough to handle them. I sometimes use them for little projects around the house as well, like holding little parts while putting something together, or to hold small amounts of nasty fluids (paint, cleansers) that I wouldn't want to dirty any real dishes with. All in all, they are one of the most used items in my kitchen, and I was very glad to find them on Amazon.

Best Quality
These are hands down the best plastic disposable bowls on the market. Vanity Fair makes the best products. They are so heavy duty that they are reusable. We even put them in the microwave and they withstand heating without melting or deforming. Whether or not that's good for your health might be a different story. But that just goes to show what durable quality they are made of. They are thick plastic and are not flimsy at all. They withstand hot temperatures so you can eat soup or anything else in them.

Disposable Bowls?
Very nice disposable? bowls. Calling them disposable is a stretch because they are quite sturdy and hold up to hand washing very easily. I use them over and over and over with a quick hand wash. Yes occasionally one get overloaded and bends or gets a knife point in the bottom or side but these things are great.09/25/2015 I still have not opened the second package because these bowls are so easy to reuse.

Used to love these but what's that smell?
We used to love both the Vanity Fair bowls and 11" plates but in past months they have had a very unpleasant, chemical, distasteful smell. These were our go-to disposables for positive qualities: surface texture, size and sturdiness, but the odor will prevent us from ordering again. We tried another batch from a different online retailer (no comparison to Amazon, of course) as a test and those plates and bowls smell too. I noticed another reviewer a few months ago mentioned this unpleasant odor also. Wish they would correct this problem because other disposables don't stack up to these, but don't want to risk the funkiness.
