Kingbolen BF200 Brake Fluid Tester High Precision Car Brake Fluid Detector

OK, obviously I bought a defective (ITEQ) one first. With the new (Iteq) every car and even brand new bottles of brake fluid that I purchased were no good. A buddy of mine and myself were doing brake fluid flushes on our vehicles. We started by first testing what was in our vehicles and seeing that they were bad and then buying new brake fluid and changing it. After we had already done four vehicles just for the heck of it, we decided to check the new brake fluid. In hindsight, we should've done that after the first vehicle. Come to find out even the brand new brake fluid on every vehicle. We did was apparently bad. After sending brake fluid back throwing some brake fluid out we did the smart thing. Finally, we got a different brake fluid tester. This Kingbolen BF200 And wouldn't you know it, there was nothing wrong with the new brake fluid it was our IDEQ tester. Never again will I just assume especially after the hours we spent. It made a fairly simple job. Much more difficult and far more time-consuming. The Kingbolen is the one you want.

Simple, straight forward. Works as intended. Makes checking the fluid in the car or on the shelf a no brainer.

I bought this to test the racing brake fluid in my vehicle and it does not register any racing brake fluid. I have tried DOT 3 and 4 non-racing fluid and it detects the moisture just fine but when I dip it into the racing variety of the fluid, it reads nothing and acts like it does not detect it. Something to keep in mind if you’re using this for Performance capacities.

Just got it today. Tested 2 vehicles. Seems to be pretty accurate so far. Always keep fresh "aaa" batteries in the tool.

Great product bought to keep repair shops honest - it worked and saved an unnecessary brake fluid change I knew intuitively wasn’t needed.

Installed a AAA battery, dropped it in the brake fluid reservoir, read less than 2% water, Done. Easy peasy. Digital readout is clear and menu buttons are simple.

Not sure how accurate this is. How would I verify? It is not certified by any meaningful authority. I have a 2019 car with the original dot 4 fluid, that tests out "A-OK" with this meter. After 6 years, I have my doubts that the fluid is still good. OTOH if I stick it in tap water, it reads "not ok". I think if I did it over, I would spend more money for something I can trust.
