This light went inside a cutout in the ceiling and is so bright it lights up the small bedroom. It is perfect for what we wanted.

Problematic installation
The price was good, so I mounted two of these in a shed and found it a little problematic. They require a custom cord, that looks like a standard connector but apparently is not exactly the same, and the custom one is almost as expensive as the light itself. Alternatively, you can hardwire them, which is what I did, and although it has a knockout for a strain relief, the knockout is on the back, right where you would be screwing them to the mounting surface. I used a couple of pieces of wood as standoffs and it worked out okay since it was in the shed and I wasn't that concerned about how it looked. Otherwise, they work fine. If you don't mind the cost of the custom cord (and the feeling that the manufacturer is trying to force you to overpay for it) then they would be fine under a cabinet in a kitchen.
