Vary hard, not soft or Chewy, I have to break them up and mix them in their food with water to soften them or they won't touch them.

Bought these for our two aging dogs (13 and 15). They seem to help and the dogs love them. The only issue is that they are very fragile. By the time they are manufactured and shipped, then shipped to me from distribution, there are very few whole pieces left in the package. My dogs generally get a handful of pieces and a lot of it turns to dust at the bottom of the bottle. I mix the dust in with their food so I am not wasting product but GNC really needs to make these hold up better for the money.
