Great for a console-like gaming experience on your phone!
I purchased this device to be able to have a console-like experience on my tv with my Xiaomi Poco F5 Pro. Despite being very solid at gaming, the phone does not support visual output over USB-C, and wireless mirroring was not an option because the input lag made gaming practically impossible. After plugging everything up and installing the necessary software, this device seems to work like a charm. The visuals are solid and the input lag is barely noticeable using a Bluetooth(Xbox) controller. Maybe the only annoying things are that you need to connect to the device over Bluetooth to get audio output, and the HDMI connector does get very hot very quickly. I won't knock the use of third-party software as it seems to be the norm with devices like this and is likely necessary to get around the hardware limitations of the USB-C port not outputting visual natively. Overall, very satisfied!

Works great
Took me a while to figure it out, not because of the product but because I am not a computer person. It does get hot, which freaked me for a second because I am a retired firefighter and I thought, damn! Gonna burn the house down! But it seems, did not put a thermometer on it, when it got to a certain 'hot', it was not going to get to the spontaneous combustion level. Used several hours and pleased to confirm the tv did not melt and the electrical socket did not catch on fire. Loved it so much bought a second one for the other tv.

Does not work for major streaming services, and requires an app
The Bad: Requires an app that has 2.5 stars on the app store, and does NOT work with my Galaxy s9 for Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, or Amazon Prime Video. The app that you have to install is poorly written, and should not be required. Immediately upon installing the app, I got a message similar to: "does not work with any of your apps." I realize that the pics/description explain all of this, but like a good Amazon purchaser, I didn't read all the descriptions, and must have skipped the parts about the required app. The Good: The cable appears to be very well built, and fells/looks very nice. I truly don't know why people would use it outside of streaming services on a phone, and the required app just makes it even worse. I'm uninstalling the app ASAP, and this will be chalked up to a loss.

Does what I wanted.
Much better looking material quality than I expected from the picture. Not overly branded looking packaging but very nice casing. Small booklet for instructions included, not very clear on how to set up but not impossible 'rocket science' to figure out on your own. (Miscommunication through booklet on which app to install from included website.) Plug & Play after app is installed and configured with the device. You do not have to keep running back and forth to the app to set it up again, unless you configure it that way within your device. Audio and video quality is decent, there is a small delay in response time of motion commands and audio delay with videos, but I'd say no more than half a second, not intrusively slow to create a bad experience. I did however experience the weird buzzing noise a few times that some people complained about, but just be careful not to knock into the sensitive area of the usb-c or micro USB port plugged into your device as it disrupts the connection I'm assuming it has with the weird 'Wired Bluetooth' connectivity for the audio.Yes it uses a Bluetooth audio plugin, you will not get sound from just the cord alone, you will be prompted by the application to turn on Bluetooth for audio, but you may decline if for whatever reason you do not wish to apply sound. Tested both usb-c and micro USB with devices. It works. I noticed with certain lower end devices and high demand applications, the apps may close down while mirroring to the television under certain functions like gaming, and the device begins to warm up pretty good, but for light use like watching videos or photo slideshow, works fine. HDMI port plugged into the television does get hot after prolonged use, but I have not noticed any performance issues as a result of it yet. Tested for almost two weeks, no issues in audio or video quality as a result (continuously running). Overall Review: Does what I was looking for. I wouldn't call this a superior solution for something like using your phone as a portable computer to a monitor or anything, but that depends on the performance of your personal device. Basically an MHL cable that works through an app to be compatible with modern day software, gets the job done. If you want it for offline/local screen mirroring, I say pick it up. If you want something more seamless and less intrusive on your device, a streaming option over your WiFi network may be a better option if your connection is strong enough.

All around good quality product, no complaints.
All around good quality product, no complaints. Make sure the device you're using is compatible with the adapter. The only issues I've heard of come from user error. I've used on 3 TV's, 3 phones, and 2 computers. If you're using a computer and it doesn't read it or says there is an error you must use the debug usb option on your PC/Mac. Some cellular devices might require you to do this or to go into USB settings and change from charging to USB data transfer/mirror/ptp or whatever option best suits your needs. Hope this helps.

May not mirror everything on your phone.
Works well for mirroring most of my phone, however, does not mirror everything. I bought it to watch HBOmax from my phone, but when you play movies it only shows the controls for the movies on your display. It does not display the video or audio. Contacted company and they had this to say. “ Dear Keith Murphy, Due to HBO's special DRM content provided design and they didn't license us the SDK, you may not enjoy the videos via mirroring or streaming with MiraScreen dongle. We are working hard to see how to pass their content protection certification. Please also send your request to them and speed up our cooperation. Thanks.” So they are working on it, but at this time I would say if you are trying to use the dongle to display video from your device then contact the company and ask if it will specifically work for that. It does work for videos on the web, as well as on your phone. It was easy to set up the app and use, just wish I’d of known it wouldn’t work for some streaming services.

It works on Sony TV
This appears to work on some Sony TV's but not on older TV. Not sure why. Plugs into HDMI connection on older TV but not working. Tried on newer not smart Sony and worked fine. I used older Samsung android phone with micro connection.

It worked!
This device worked as advertised and converted video via the USB charging port through HDMI to a TV which allowed me to mirror my device onto a tv. It also allows you to put in portrait mode in settings for vertical display which was a life saver. There is an app you must download for it to work that you have to give a lot of permissions for though.
