Bodylastic UltraAnchor, probably The Best you can Buy!
This UltraAnchor System is probably the best option for most people exercising with elastic bands, who also want to use their bands for multi-positions, like: ankle-high, waist-high, shoulder-high, or slightly over one's head. Of course you have to make sure your door size meets the size dimensions they list. I hooked this UltraAnchor webbing system to my bedroom door, so that I could use it from the interior of the bedroom. However, after attaching it, getting my bedroom door to close tightly was possible, although I had to push it the last couple inches of travel to get the door knob latch to actually latch. I found that I had to move one slat of the exterior wood molding attached to the door frame, nearest the hinges, about 1/8" out, to allow the door to close easily. The thickness of the webbing of the UltraAnchor System was just thick enough to prevent easy closure of the door after attaching it. Moving one piece of wood molding 1/8" further away from the door was not a problem. If you are using the highest resistance elastic tubing in your exercises, I'd rec'd attaching a Horiz. Quick-Release Surface Toggle Clamp or two (http://www.amazon.com/TruePower-Horizontal-Quick-Release-Surface-Toggle/dp/B009KB9F38/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1427040389&sr=1-1&keywords=surface+clamps ) to the door frame on the doorknob side of your door to keep to door from inadvertently 'letting loose' and swinging inward at you, but perhaps I am being paranoid? These clamps also relieve the strain that might accumulate on the door-knob Latch entering the DoorPlate; assuming you are exercising on a door that will swing inward toward you as you exercise. You have a choice of either 11 Large D-Rings, or 11 Webbing Loops on the UltraAnchor system to attach your elastic bands to. More than enough to satisfy every exercise angle you'd want to use for either your arms or your legs. This is Very Sturdy System, it looks and feels very secure, safe, and easy-to-use. I'd highly rec'd this door-based Ultra-Anchor System to anyone with a door that had enough room on one side of the door for you to exercise in. Obviously this Door-based system will not work on every door due to lack of exercise space considerations. You will need at least 5+ ft. of exercise room on the side of the door you plan to exercise on. The reverse side of the door is going to have these nylon strap webbings running across it for all to see......and if that is unsightly to you, or someone in your household, then maybe this system might not be for you? It is relatively easy to set-up or take-down this UltraAnchor system, but I certainly would NOT rec'd that you have to attach it, exercise. and then take-it-down, each and every time you exercise. This is possible, but Not advisable. Too much time to spend setting-it-up and taking-it-down. It should be set-up on a door where the cosmetic appearance on both sides of the door is not critical to those who view it, so that it can remain in place w/o criticism from important others. All this said, I think this UltraAnchor system is probably the Very Best Elastic-Band Apparatus for a decent price that you can buy! And I have bought a couple other door-based elastic-band exercise systems, and this UltraAnchor System has proven itself as 'The Best of the Bunch'.And yes, as the Bodylastic people tell you, the nylon webbing will gradually stretch a bit, and will have to be tightened on the reverse side of the door. But tightening these nylon webbing straps is easy & fast. Not really a problem at all, it's just proper maintenance for your benefit. If I have one gripe about the Bodylastic Bands, it is that once the elastic bands wear-out, & I suppose they eventually will, but not yet for me. The bands have metal quick-release loops on them, along with the nylon webbing which allow them to be attached to the Handles. And throwing away the Quick-Release metal loops & along with the attached nylon webbing on each elastic band seems a bit wasteful to me. You can alway buy new Bodylastic Bands to use with the Premium Handle-Grips, that is not a problem. Many handles on most elastic band brands are not wide enough, and the straps on each side of the hand-grips abrade the sides of one's hands as one exercises, but this is NOT true of the nice wide Bodylastic Hand Grips. Bodylastic Hand Grips are one of the best on the market, bar none. This is why I am going to hate having to throw away the elastic tubing w/hardware permanently attached to the bands once the elastic bands eventually give out. This is not a huge deal, but like I say, throwing away perfectly good metal parts with worn out elastic bands seems a bit wasteful?Does anyone make elastic-bands that are detachable from their hand-grips? Answer: Yes. There is a company called: SPRI, Xertube, (Quick Select System), which makes elastic bands which attach & detach from their Grip-Handles fairly easily; no metal parts or nylon webbing attached to the elastic bands. The handles that work with the SPRI system are not quite as nice (as wide) as the Bodylastic Grip-Handles, but at least you don't have to necessarily throw away metal & nylon webbing once the SPRI bands are cracked or broken. You can buy separate SPRI elastic bands w/o the handles, and just attach the new elastic bands to the old SPRI handles, which is sort of nice. I actually use both Bodylastic Bands w/Handles, and also the SPRI Handles (sold separate from the bands) and SPRI bands to go w/the handles. I am anxious to see which type of elastic bands works out best in the long run? On the negative side, SPRI style handles will ONLY allow you to use one elastic band at a time! The SPRI handle is designed to securely attach only ONE elastic band at a time for exercising. Whereas, the Bodylastic Handles for their elastic bands allow one to attach Multiple elastic bands to the handles, this a big Plus, and allows one to add more resistance to your workouts with lighter-weight elastic bands without having to buy another higher resistance elastic band of a specific higher resistance. BTW, pretty much all elastic bands are compatible with the Bodylastics UltraAnchor for Doors. This is good, Very Good!Hard to go wrong on buying this sturdy UltraAnchor system by Bodylastics, it is worth the money. Measure your door before you buy. I am using it on a 30" x 70.5" wood door.

Simple design, great idea
The Ultra Anchor takes what I can do with resistance bands to a new level. I used to have a Bowflex years ago and I loved that thing. Wish I'd never sold it. Ever since then I've been sorry. Well being able to use my Xbar with resistance bands and this Ultra Anchor actually lets me do nearly all of the exercises I could do with the Bowflex and it doesn't take up half of a small room! I'd still love to have another Bowflex but this setup is great.I like to get in a little workout at my office because I get in very early before anyone else is here. I have a heavy wood door on my office and I was concerned that it might not close with this on it but it does, no problem. I really didn't want it on a door at home because I don't have one that would not be visible from the main area of the house and it doesn't fit with my decor! So having it at work is a great option. I set it up myself in about 15 minutes. I needed to stand on a chair to wrap the first/top strap around and clip it shut. After that I finished the setup with my feet on the ground. It is basically a web of straps (belts) that you wrap around the door horizontally, and one longer vertical strap that wraps top to bottom. Each has a heavy duty plastic "buckle" and is snapped shut on the side opposite the one with the anchors on it. You can choose to have the anchors on either side of the door but if you don't have a heavy door that closes really tight, it might be best not to pull in the same direction that the door opens. The instructions say to lock the door for that reason but if you are pulling the opposite direction (in the direction the door closes), that shouldn't be an issue.I imagine that the straps will rub on the door a little, depending just how tight you manage to get them. Even tight there is probably a small amount of friction. So if you have a painted door, it's possible it will lightly rub the paint (e.g., on the door edges). Maybe not. The door I'm using is solid wood, not painted, so that isn't a concern. Each of the four horizontal straps has two types of anchors (metal u-shaped ring to attach a resistance band to using the carbiner-type clip), and loops made from the same material as the straps. There are 11 metal rings total and 15 nylon (?) loops. This gives you many anchor point options which equates to a big variety of exercise possibilities. There are videos on the Bodylastics website and on Youtube so if you're not sure what to do with all the possibilities, take a look! That's what I am doing because I tend to freeze when I have too many choices! Haha! Seriously, I think this is a great gadget. It's very well made, looks to be super strong and reliable and I look forward to years of use.

Great for workouts
This is pretty easy to set up if your are methodical. This is great for resistance band workouts. There are so many connection points for so many exercises. The rings are very durable and the loops are soft and safe for the bands. It’s also a great anchor for stretching.
