Saddlebag Supports for 84+ Harley Davidson Softail (Heritage, Custom, Fat Boy, Deluxe, Night Train, Springer)

This is a good quality product. Nice chrome job and very sturdy. These supports are sturdier than the universal (adjustable) ones, because these are one solid piece whereas the universal supports are made up of 3 separate pieces and held together at the two bottom corners with screws and nuts. In one of the reviews, someone mentioned that these don't come with mounting hardware, and that is true, but I would rather buy these than the universal ones that come with hardware. I think the reason hardware isn't provided is so they can sell this quality product at a reasonable and affordable price. First, most makes and models require different hardware (i.e. imports use metric while Harleys use standard) and different sizes, so to include all possible hardware combinations would not be reasonable or cost effective. Also, if they included one or two sets and it didn't fit your bike, you would be complaining. Second, you are getting a good quality product and you have the choice of mounting these with inexpensive hardware (e.g. Zinc coated bolts and washers) or expensive hardware (Chrome). My supports arrived today and I mounted them on my 2005 Harley Softail Deluxe with Chrome hardware. They're sturdy, solid, and they look great so I'm very happy with them. I don't know about other Harleys but my bike uses 3/8" screws/bolts with 16 threads per inch and 1 3/4 inch long.

When I went to buy these a couple weeks ago they were listed as 'out of stock' on Amazon. There was another pair that had identical descriptions, more pictures and cost less ($27 vs $35 in late MArch 2019) so I ordered those. Bit mistake! The others were light steel and had very poor, weak looking welds. They ended up being a lot shorter, too. By then these were back in stock so I ordered them while I returned the cheap ones.The bar stock is of a good diameter and the welds are full and solid. The chrome looks fine for lower dollar items. These used different fender holes than the stock bag supports (2 and 4 instead of 2 and 3) but this just required moving one support post and one cover bolt on each side. It took a while to get them mounted to my new bags but that had nothing to do with the quality of the supports. These are made to accomodate bolts up to 3/8" but my mounts were 5/16" and I used some thin wall stainless tubing as a shim. Probably not necessary but I had it so what the heck.I haven't had a chance to ride with them yet but they seem very solid and look just fine. I see no problems and would recommend them.

These fit my 2018 Harley-Davidson Softail deluxe perfectly. I don’t like any of the Harley-Davidson bags so opted to put some Chase Harper soft bags to use only if I go on extended trips. They don’t detract from the looks of the bike with out the bags. With the bags on they hold them out away from the wheels ,belts and brakes. I would recommend them for anyone that wants a nice chrome soft bag holder without breaking the bank. Harley-Davidson sells the same thing looks to be similar quality for 4times the money.

these seem to be of good quality and shipped fast. does look like you will have to relocate the turn signals in the rear though.

Purchased after I already had bags and wanted to keep em in place while just thrown over. Worked perfect and recommend install with angle forward for best support and concealment. 🤩

I think these will fit my 2018 Harley fatboy. But be aware, I could find no hardware in the package. I will need to find some longer bolts and manufacture a spacer. For the spacer, I found some 5/16” flat washers with the near right O.D. I think I can drill the I.D. out to 3/8” to make it work. I must add that I have not done it yet but I think it will work.

I don't know how this would fit the 2018 iron 883 because it didn't on 2019. I tried to find holes on the motorcycle but it does not align with any holes and you can't bend it without risking break off. Even if you bend it would interfere with shock absorber springs.I had to returned it. No instruction, guides or hardware included.

Took off a star because they didn’t stick out far enough to keep the bags off the swing arm on my 03 FXSTI. However, the bags I purchased were probably too big anyway but a trip to the hardware store got it fixed. They seem sturdy and holes lined up perfectly.
