Sunyear Lightweight Compact Folding Chair
The Sunyear Lightweight Compact Folding Chair worked great for a over night kayak camping trip. It was easy to set up, just unstrap the Velcro strap, the legs almost just fall into place. The material the seat is made out of is thicker than I expected and seams to be durable. I had no problems inserting the the aluminum tubes into the back and seat. it was comfortable and stable. the round feet worked perfect holding up on softer ground. I also used it to hold my camping gear in to keep it off the ground under the Rain-Fly tarp for my hammock.Great buy and worth having.

Compact - Sturdy -Easy - Inexpensive
Bought this based upon how small it was when packed up.When I camp I always like a chair with back support so needed something small I could also lash onto my pack. This really worked perfect for me.Easy in every way and perfectly sturdy even with my 210 lb. frame.

Not worth the money, or the time it takes to put it together.
UPDATE: After my initial review of one star, the company reached out to me. They immediately sent me two new chairs with the guarantee of a full refund if the new ones broke as the old ones did. They arrived two days later. I’ve had the new chairs for about a week now with no issues! I really hope that these hold up better than the others. Big shout out to the company for their AMAZING customer service. You definitely made things right in my book.Old review:I bought these about a month ago for my husband and I. When I first got them, they were packaged nicely. I did have a little difficulty putting it together, but that’s probably more due to user error. When I finally got them put together, I sat down in it and at first was kind of skeptical that this was for adults, but I read all of the reviews and it seemed that the majority of adults had no issues with the size of the chairs. They’re just meant to be compact. We use them for a while inside the house (playing video games) and they held up pretty well. Then, about a week ago, we decided to have a little campfire in the back yard with the kids. Brought them outside, sat it down, and sat into it- fell backwards. The legs had sunk down into the grass. The “feet” aren’t wide enough for anything soft, so I just didn’t take them back outside. Aaaaand tonight, my husband fell over only to find the leg had completely broken in half. He’s not a heavy guy, and is well within the weight limits. The metal legs are just cheaply made and bend with little force applied to them. So, the one “good” one with a slightly bent leg will now go in my daughters room, since she’s 3 and it seems more appropriate for her size. Very disappointed in these :( I will say, the canvas portion of the seat is super sturdy and pretty comfortable. The legs need to be made out of a stronger metal.

Comfortable. Cozy. Durable.
These are awesome chairs. Easily setup and taken down. Durable and works for my 260lb 6,4” size. It’s nit huge, but at a slight incline it’s pretty comfortable!

It's not a La-Z-Boy, but it's a great little camp chair!
That's the bottom line. This little camp chair is awesome! It's easy and quick to set up (without hurrying, I timed myself a few times and got 'er done in about a minute each time.) It takes about 10-15 seconds longer to put back in the bag, but still not bad. The canvas folds easily and goes in the bag separately from the frame. For assembly, simply hold the bag and the canvas under your arm while you pop the frame pieces together, put the bag on the frame (more on that later), then slide the four corners of the canvas over the four upright poles. The strongly-reinforced corners go on snugly, so you have to push the poles toward each other much like stringing a bow (but with almost no effort), which leaves the chair solidly put together until you're ready to put it away. You can pick it up, toss it around, drag it... it will not come apart until you take it apart. This chair is made for backpacking or other situations where a larger, heavier chair is not practical. I would not recommend this as a regular camp chair for drive-to campgrounds or an evening by the lake because you would probably prefer something a bit bigger, more solid, and with arm rests. I am NOT saying this is not sturdy; IT IS STURDY, easily supporting my 5'10" 270 pound frame, but I can feel it give a little bit if I twist or lean forward. Still, I never felt it would collapse or anything. The negative reviews saying it broke are surely from people who leaned the chair back or to the side, putting all their weight on one or two legs. There is no reason for the chair to break otherwise. It is extremely lightweight and convenient, folding so small it's a breeze to carry either by grasping it like a thick stick or holding one of the two loop handles. It assembles very easily; indeed, the elastic cord holding the pole pieces together will pull some of them together automatically as soon as you remove the chair from the bag! And the bag is perfectly sized for the contents, unlike so many sleeping bag or tent sacks that are frustratingly so small you can almost never get the items back in. And the bag's loop handles on both ends double as a means to store the bag off the ground when using the chair. Before putting the canvas on the chair frame, simply put each loop handle over one of the frame's upright poles and let it slide down where it'll be out of the way but not forgotten, nor dirty from being on the ground.I bought this chair to take with me to cub scout camp with my 7yo tiger cub. At his age, his adult partner (me) had to be (er, got to be - it was truly a blessing and privilege) with him constantly. I know the camp, as I've been going for years with my older boys, and I knew that I would be walking all over the rugged terrain of the beautiful southern Cascades Mountains to places with no seating other than a log, tree stump, boulder or occasional bench -- all with no back support. I recently had major back surgery and I cannot stand for any length of time, nor can I sit without back support more than a few minutes. A regular camp chair is large, heavy, and impractical to carry everywhere with me. This chair was perfect. As we arrived to the archery range, waterfront, flags, or wherever his activity schedule took us, I would unzip the bag and start to assemble the chair as we walked, it's so easy. A minute later I would be ready to sit in comfort, watching and photographing my son playing. This thing was a real back saver! The only negative I should mention is the chair is a little bit low to the ground. No more than any camp chair, I believe, but some people might have difficulty standing up from it. It has no arm rests to push up from, but you can turn a bit and use the back of the chair for minimal assistance, I cannot stand up from sitting on a rock or stump that is lower to the ground, but I can manage from this chair.I was not the only one impressed by this chair. Five or six other dads at camp asked about it, wanting to know how much it cost and where they could get one. I recommended this truly remarkable little chair to them, and now I recommend it to you. There are many similar chairs here on Amazon, but I like this one for its strength (thick canvass and durable mesh on an aircraft aluminum frame) and for the ski-pole-type baskets on the legs that keep the legs from sinking in loose, rich mountain soil.

Stabilized and A Happy Camper
Absolutely love this folding chair. I will use it on soft sandy soil so I made four foot stabilization pads. 4" X 4" with a 1" hole in plywood. The pads fit nicely in the case and don't add much weight. They make the chair very stable on hard surfaces as well. I hope the manufacturer adds something similar in the future.

Friend's Chair Perfect. Mine Is Sticky.
Since I'm not finding a way to contact the seller, I'm posting a review. My friend bought this chair for backpacking, and when she turned in early, I sat in her chair by the edge of a lake, thinking, "I've got to buy one of these!" I did. However, the fabric is "sticky." When I get up from it, the fabric sticks to my clothing. Thinking perhaps I hadn't noticed this on my friend's chair, I used it on several trips, lining it with a jacket so not to stick. This past weekend my friend an I hikes another trip, and I felt her seat fabric and mine. Hers is smooth and doesn't stick at all. Mine has a rough texture.SUNYEAR, if you are reading this review, I really like the chair, and would like to exchange my chair for one that is not "sticky." If you are reading this, please contact me for an exchange.

Great comfy chair
It's easy to assembly, but does require a bit of finger strength. I leave one top pole out and lay sideways on ground and press down on end of pole then put it in last pocket, much easier. You can laze back or sit up straight, lean forward, and all positions comfortable. Can take it hiking or biking, fits easily in with camp gear. I waterproofed mine in case I forget it in the rain.
