Solid working
I am using one and it has held up very well. I have it full of gunk all the time and thought it would have failed by now, but it keeps going. The only reason of not being 5 stars is for the fact that it does not work with magnets and it is suction cups. The suction cups are terrible for my use on vinyl

Nice pair of circulation pumps for my 150 gallon tank
I have a sparsely planted 150 gallon tank with several large pieces of decor. I have 2 canister filters, but their returns do not create a lot of water movement in my tank. All of the water movement was previously tasked to a 330 gph power head, and it just wasn't cutting it. There were dead zones no matter where I put it.Enter these. I first put one in where the power head was, and immediately noticed that this is a big improvement. I put the other one in at the opposite end of the tank and positioned it to hit some of the problem areas I was having before. My water got cloudy from all of the hidden debris that was stirred up. (I also moved a piece of decor) A few hours later and my canister filters had done a pretty decent job of cleaning up the water. There was also a fairly noticeable hum when I first turned them on. After a few moments, it became indistinguishable from the ambient sounds of my house. Two things:The cords are very short. I needed to tie these into an extension cord to get them to my power strip. The power strip is mounted on the inside of the stand at the top so I always have the "drip loop". I can't imagine why the cord would be so short, these are far too powerful for much smaller of a tank. Due to the risk I have to take, I am docking it a star. These are also very large. The cage dwarfs the prop inside. I don't know if there is a reason why it needs to be so big, but slimming down the pump would definitely be a great improvement.

More powerful than I need
I wouldn't recommend this for a 55 gallon. I bought it for my turtle tank and my poor 4 inch turtle goes for a ride every time she tries to swim by it. It either blows her to the other side of her tank or sucks her up to it. Ultimately if you need lots of water movement this will be awesome.

This is a great wave maker and water circulator!
The media could not be loaded. This is a great wave maker!! I purchased the 2 units for my 55 gal freshwater tank after reading multiple reviews saying that 2 units is the way to go. However, I think one unit will work just fine for water circulation (as seen in the video I posted). One unit circulates top, mid, and lower areas very well. I'm actually impressed with the circulation using only 1 unit.I currently do not have fish in my tank (in the process of adding live plants and giving them time to establish roots) so I am a little worried smaller fish will be sucked into the unit's fan/blades because of the unit's power. I plan on putting a timer on the unit, just so the fish can have some 'non-wave' time! :) I'm also happy that the unit is not very loud (as noted on the video). The unit is a little larger than expected, but if it helps keep my tank clean, then I'm okay with it's size and seeing it! I'm not disappointed about purchasing the 2 units (even though i'm using only 1) because they were not very expensive and having a backup is worth it.I definitely recommend this unit(s) and if ever I need to, I would purchase again.

Zero Issues.
Positive experiance with this. The 800 gph was too much for my 55gal filled 1/2 full with 3 turtles even though the largest turtle (approx 5") seemed to get used to it and almost enjoyed swimming against the current. I purchased the 528gpu and that seems to be perfect. I have had zero issues with the suction cup, or any part of the pump moving or coming off even though all the turtles climb, push and hang out on it! It is surprisingly high quality given the price. Even if I paid, twice what these cost, I'd still be happy with the value. Definitely worth it and would recommend!!!Edit; It's 11/6/18, just over a year later and still have these. The turtles are now in a 75 and I have (1) 800gph working flawlessly in it. The suction cups still work like new. Turtles are notorious for destroying anything you put in the tank with them and "popping" off anything attached by suction cup. They wedge themselves between this and the back glass to sleep and it stays secure. I couldnt be happier.

Wow just wow
Wow just threw in 2 into my 75g tank and its almost too much flow (keep in mind my sump return pump already does 1000+ gph). The cerculation is realy nice i have almost a perfect double gyre going atm. The suction cup is so strong u can open a microwave door with it (this was my test to see if it was a good suction cup or not). The construction feels cheap but not garbage cheap. Its only been in the tank 3 hrs so i cant speak on the longevity, but for the price even if they just lasts 1 yr you cant go wrong. I would suggest these to anyone looking to add flow into their tank.
