This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Solid monster but looks good
I just received this watch today. This is my second Invicta watch purchased at Amazon and so far I have not had any problems. They both work perfectly and are an absolute joy to look at. This watch is large and I have to admit I was a little startled when I first saw it. However, once I put it on my wrist and fastened it down I quickly got used to it. It has alot of heft for a watch but you do get used to it though so don't let that stop you. In my opinion this watch is more handsome than the model 5508 which is all black. It is well built and it seems like it could take punishment that would ruin lesser time pieces. I think that is the allure of it. This watch looks and feels positively rugged! Let me say that my wrist is a little under 8 inches in circumference and you would think someone with a wrist this small should not be wearing this kind of a watch. You would be wrong however. After a couple of hours of it on your arm is just feels right. If you want a watch that is rugged, can be used for diving (I am not a diver but I do some fishing and am around the water alot) then go for it. You won't be disappointed. Just make sure you don't pay the $2k msrp. That number is unrealistic. At under $300 though it is a bargain.

Big Blue Invicta!
This was my 3rd Invicta, had over about a year now and I'm now hooked on the style and quality of these watches! The 5509 is a heavy/thick case watch but I'm 6' 2" stocky build , and don't mind at all. The watch is as impressive to look at as it is to wear, it feels solid as a rock but sits comfortably with the heavy poly band. The dark blue face and band match almost perfectly and compliment the gunmetal case and band accents nicely. The polished case back is also a nice finishing touch. Just be careful around the house, I feel like I could break windows or glasses with this beast....love it!

nice watch for the money
I purchased this watch, however it was not the color i thought it was going to be, it is a more serious watch, i like vibrant colors, therefore, i returned it, but it is a great watch for the money.

INCREDIBLE WATCH!
I purchased this watch as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He is an advid collector of Invicta watches and this is one of the best in his collection. The quality is excellent where the watch itself is far more impressive in person versus the picture.
