PORTER-CABLE N044359 Tube Seal

Porter Cable 6gal air compressors are known for this seal leaking and this is my 2nd replacement in about 10 years. Not bad to change out and if you are going to pay a shop to do it you may as well buy another compressor for the price they will charge.

Due to heat and pressure at this joint these often wear out. This will get your compressor back on the job.

This is the exact part I needed. Shipping was 3x the cost of the part!

My porter cable compressor suddenly had trouble getting over 80 PSI and wouldn't shut off. After a disassembly I discovered this seal (original one)was brittle and cracked. It's replacement seal went on without a hitch and the problem is solved. I just wish it didn't cost 3x what porter cable wanted (unfortunately they didn't want to ship for 7-10 days.)

This $2 part rendered my DeWalt compressor useless. I spent a couple hours replacing this stupid thing on my compressor and once I hit 100 psi, it blew again. This seal, being the exact same dimensions as the old seal appeared as though it would hold. Sadly, no it did not. Considering everything is made in China and generally disposable, I think I'll change gears to a cheap $100 compressor and replace as it breaks ... instead of trying to repair a $400 compressor that, apparently, is made in the same factory and is not repairable!!

Fixed the leak of the main air line perfectly. Very easy to replace by just pulling a few screws. Porter Cable wanted over $9 shipping and handling for something that could be sent with a stamp.

Overpriced, but they obviously know that if you're looking at this product they've got you. I replaced the gasket in my air compressor and it works fine now.

This seal was broken on an Air Compressor that was given to me. This was one of the parts that prevented it from working properly. After replacing this and another part, it now works great.
